Not really. We at least have a theoretical chance of controlling non-EU immigration. EU, we're signed up to free movement. 

 

There may be other reasons to leave the EU but as far as UKIP are concerned, there's one big reason.

Immigration is the sticking plaster solution to economic growth and a host of other economic ills. At what point do we say 'there's too many people here'?

 

We'll have upped what was a relatively stable population by over 25% in 40 years by the mid 2020s (iirc it will be 76m from 58m in mid 80s, haven't rechecked the numbers but it's summat like that) - and even that estimate is likely to prove low. And the trend will be firmly upwards.

 

In that time we've built comparatively fuck all in the way of roads and railways etc as far as I know. Again, probably a few sticking plaster solutions here and there. But we've not planned for all these people at all.

We say there's too many people here when one keeps accidentally touching other men's cocks in the streets...
