Thorpey Posted January 6, 2015 Share Posted January 6, 2015 Mate from the local has a bit of previous for ABH, mid 50s, old boy from the Pompey 657 crew, well respected where we live but had a bit of a problem last night. After a few pints of Stella, midnight was when he decided to bury his cat that had recently been run over. He lives on his own and worshiped his cat (like pet lovers do) but found digging a hole in the back garden a bit of a problem. Got a bit frustrated, beat the shit out of the shed with the spade, got reported by the neighbour who heard 'gun shots' and police called. When they arrived he was sat on the floor having a breather with spade in hand. Four guns pointing at him, two with torches on the end and another with a tazer. He starts having a verbal pop, 'I don't give a shit what you're going to do, etc' and then jumps up spade in hand to approach the coppers. Two others come in from the back and wrestle him to the ground. Little scuffle and the cuffs are on. Coppers then escort him in an ambulance to a mental hospital where he won't go in and decide to take him to a normal hospital where he ends up in a 'quiet' room with a doc who understands that his problem was Stella, then the need to bury his beloved cat and that he was ok to go home this morning. Fair play as he's well chuffed the coppers that he didn't get tazered or shot and that they and the doc understood his reasons for losing the plot. Maybe coppers can be reasonable sometimes?
