What The Club Need To Do...

They need to try and attract some fans back for the remaining home fixtures. Most of them will be "nothing games" and arent going to attract fans at normal prices. We need to get some ticket deals on. Get our marketing team to push these deals and try and get people back.

Hopefully that will have a knock on effect on st sales for the season after

Whats everyone think??

bb, next thing we get is, fcuking hell, im not paying 20 quid for watford, it was only 20 for leeds/blackburn etc

If folk were that arsed about coming to the match they'd don a disguise to look younger - purple shitcatchers, zany woollen hats with flaps, onesies and Mickey Mouse jumpers, they'd get in on a cheap ticket then...

Older skinflint fair-weather shitfans could put on Grandad glasses, whiten their hair and adopt the persona of Clive Dunn, either his 'grandad' one or his 'Corporal Jones' will do, they'd get in on an OAP ticket.

Or start a kids' team - then you'd have your pick of the £10 tickets...

The lame excuse it's too expensive doesn't wash, the club needs to stick to it's guns making on the day prices almost double that of ST rates, they need to preserve ST sales, and the only way to do that is to say:

''Are you poor or merely a fair-weather pick and chooser? Then you're paying double (and you're a twat, so be prepared for a load of arsing about too)...''

Especially when you only pay £8

I get that too.

Though , flip side, I'm currently getting ....

" I'm not paying £32 for Leeds, when it's only £26 against Bournemouth & a fiver for Millwall"

Take the rough with the smooth, set 1 price, deemed as fair/affordable/economically sensible.

No gimmicks , no discounts, no deals. This is our offering, this is what to expect, whether last minute or planned ahead.

Go back to 93/94, Rioch's second season. Our first back in the second division (now championship). Our average home attendance was just under 10,000.

The notion that we're a massive football town and just losing fans because of high ticket prices is just not borne out by any statistic. We are getting lower crowds because we are near the bottom of the championship. Higher crowds in fact than the last time we were near the bottom of this league.

It was over 10,000 actually but i agree with the rest of your post.

Going off this can we finally all accept we are a small club with shit support

We get the sort of crowds you'd expect a club of our size in our position to get. If you think that's 'shit', what do you think we should be getting?

Can we set up a system where I can pay £8 like casino please. I don't want kids or anything because it's £8 a seat. I will pay £9 at a push

I don't think it's shit but we can't be claiming to deserve prem football and mock Blackburn and Burnley as smaller clubs when we are in the same boat

there is a system

itll require you to find some bird to have kids with you, mind

Fair enough. We had plenty of sub 10K crowds that season. Looking at a list of attendances it looked just under 10 as average but if it was over it won't have been by much.

It'll all be fucked when the parachute payments stop

It won't, we're going up next season, as Champions...

Inspired by Lenny and near sellout crowds, due in no part to £20 on the day prices across the board for all games.

No because then that would actually mean it's £16 for me and nothing for the kid. You pay £8 a seat. That's the deal I want

Our average attendance in 1952 was 34,832, Blackburn's was 23,157, does that count?  :blum: (to be fair we were in the 1st division and they were in the second)

Our average attendance in 1952 was 34,832

I think that was our highest ever average. Not that far behind Utd at the time.

the deal is that each seat sells for 8 quid odd per game

you can dispute it all you like but until you prove it, i'll just think you are full of hot air

So how many child ST holders are there? How many OAP? How many adults? Do two adults get tickets for £8 a seat ?

2013 accounts show 3763000 in gate receipts. Have we really got 407375 season ticket holders???
