  • He just called you a cunt

  • I’m a centre right, reasonably free thinking person with interests in theology and politics expressed in an eclectic and often poorly spelt manner. I won’t always be right (who is?)    I have a prof

  • They're singing "We're racist" for fucks sake. If it was a group of black men kicking a white bloke off a train in Bolton, you'd be saying they're animals and calling for them to be hung.

It's not a racist song, it's either a poor attempt at irony, or a good attempt at being self-aware.

It's not racist in itself.

:)

Russia and Ukraine trying to start ww3 IS going round beheading anyone who doesn't believe in medieval values but Chelsea fans singing a racist song makes the big news.

Going back to Chees's point, it would be big news on here if ,say, a group of Asians pushed a Bolton fan off a train on Bolton station

Did he feel strongly enough to hand it over to the police?

No because he's not a grass.

Fucking hell, if he felt that strongly since when has an inbox of a paper been the first port of call. Turns out he didn't feel all that strongly though but thought he could get some money.

...or he's worked as a journalist and thought it was a news story rather than a potential crime.

Exactly.

OK, let's agree he's a cunt. Why are you more bothered about how the footage came to light, rather than what the footage actually shows???

I'm not, I've said further up they were acting cuntishly, others including yourself kept picking out my comment about the wannabe journalist. I've also said it's hardly an international incident that needs the massive amount of media uproar. Football fans acting the cunt at a match, woooo!

Can't believe you are being reeled in NB

Fucking hell. Let's not report any racism then as it isn't an "international incident".

Very good

So if I say you are either apologising for obvious racist shite and therefore racist or that you are a neo-post-modernist philosopher who understands the subtlety of discourse and therefore takes the obvious racist chanting as a subtle critique of the very racism they are espousing where would you stand ? JAL :)

And I've not said lets not report it, let's put it in context though, even the bloke himself said he didn't realise it'd attract this much attention. You're worse than a woman.

As for Ukraine etc, I think I'm right in seeing it was reported first & for longer than a war going on in the news tonight. That is a bit of a shame really as like I said, it was away fans acting the cunt not mortar bombs being chucked willy nilly.

there's fuck all on the Tele tonight but I am the giving up point :)

That's down to the media, not us. Do you think those Chelsea fans are right to chant "We're racist" whilst pushing someone off a train?

I'd rather watch a broken clock...

In fairness to all this is a football forum so this is being discussed as a football matter. Anyone who wants to discuss Ukraine, IS etc can do it on behind the stands?

what a fucking stupid question.

what a fucking stupid question.

Sorry, I thought you needed context before making a decision?

Luckily the train was stationary or there would have been bother

I'm a racist, Gary Lineker is going to condemn me tomorrow (Fred Dibnah's ghost will knock me down).

If one were to stand, on a public transport system, leering and rubbing ones thighs in front of a scantily clad lady, then another person started chanting ''He wants to rape her! He wants to rape her!" would that mean I'm a rapist or merely an objectionable individual? As it's seemingly two different groups involved, one set shoving, one set chanting, the chants of one group incriminate the other set as racists - it's a bit of a dangerous precedent to set.

I've no doubt more evidence will be uncovered in due course, the UK police seem to be falling over themselves to do sommat and the bloke who was abused will no doubt sell tell his side of the story at some point...

I won't be surprised if it isn't a cut and dried case of bigoted cockney c*nts acting like bigoted cockney c*nts, but I'll wait until all the evidence is in before making a judgement.

So as long as you're a bigotted cockney cunt, you should be allowed to sing racist songs whilst stopping someone from boarding a train?

They were singing 'we are racist' not 'hes a racist'. But anyway, I was replying to your smart arse comment with one of my own, not grown up or clever so let's not fall out

Point of order, from the evidence, the shovers didn't seem to be the singers, and the singing started after the bloke gave up trying to get on the train...

I'm all for people singing themselves guilty, it'd make cases of drink driving related accidents easier to solve, I'm not in favour of 2nd and 3rd party songs proving guilt.

I'm just being devil's advocate, probably as a result of reading this earlier today...

We're not falling out, we're having a heated debate...

I agree about the naming and shaming being "wrong" but its clearly not two separate groups of fans

You can see one in the door way singing, they are all together here, those singing and those pushing, and that's what happens with a mob mentality, they think its ok to act like a set of cunts

the only thing you can be pretty sure about is none of them would do that if they were on their own, on their way to work or something

So yeah, they're a set of cunts who've bought shame on their club, they might not be actual racists, some may have black friends but they've not helped themselves

Point of order, from the evidence, the shovers didn't seem to be the singers, and the singing started after the bloke gave up trying to get on the train...

To answer your point of order the 'pusher' is potentially guilty of common assault with a possible racial element and the 'singers' are guilty potentially of at least breach of the peace with a definite racial element. That's under English law though, don't know how it works in France
