May 11, 201511 yr The first club I got into underage was Panthers, so it was all Nirvana and that, and lots of record skips iirc, I was shocked by the fact the older lads I'd tagged along with got up to the dancefloor to 'dance' (actually dance and not together ), the closest I'd been to 'dancing' up until that point would have been launching myself off the bouncer bars at the International II. It'd be nearly four years before I was of legal age and, due to outside 'factors', my musical tastes had expanded a bit and I went out to 'proper' clubs...(and discovered I'm living proof the white man can dance). Can't remember the first tune I knew (and liked) getting dropped in a club, probably sommat by Dave Clarke. Edited May 11, 201511 yr by Youri McAnespie

May 11, 201511 yr My nightclubs were Jilly's and the rock nights at Siberia in Bury and the Ritz in Manchester. The Friday all nighters at Jilly's had some right sights there. The goth room had about 10 goths moping about at the front and about 70 people shagging in the dark at the back. The fishbowl was the classic rock room and was full of denim clad toothless smack heads of indeterminate age. In the latter years there was a 4th room that played punk stuff but the door had no window so fairly frequently folk would get a bust lip by having the door opened in their face. The place was a dump but some cracking memories even now folk will ask if I remember something happening and images come flooding back.
May 11, 201511 yr I was always too bladdered to notice what music was blasting out whenever I ventured in to a club

Ended up in there towards the end of a very messy night straight from work all suited and booted. No one batted an eye but was hilarious watching the md moshing with a group of goths!
