Fucking hell there's been some over the top reactions to this game.   It's almost comedy some of the shit that gets written on here after a loss.

I find it apt that the next game is Burnley away & the suicide squad have decided to float up out of their malaise & start slagging without attending!   Knobbers.

  • I wasnt there but everyone I've spoke to that was said we played really well and were robbed.   Id rather believe them than some cranks on here.   Yes the away form is a grave concern but getting

faye left the previous summer

he signed taylor and cahill

stelios was fooked

its safe to assume gardner was broken, too

that team was so good we had 5 points from 9

gardner played plenty under megson, certainly nowt to suggest he was crocked, and had his best season tally for goals under him

(ps: even with the relegation Coyle was better than DF)

shows what a good manager he was

even kept gardner fit

and youre wrong, anyway

thats not even worthy of a bite

thats not even worthy of a bite

we've been relegated before

but DF treated us to our worst start in 100+ years

and followed it up with our 2nd worst

not sure where the 7-1 defeat at Reading lines up in worst ever defeats, no dobut it's up there

starting Rob Hall on the last day of the season in his most important game in charge of us

plenty to chew on there

we've never been relegated before with a wage bill the 12th largest in the country

Didn't we have enough of Megson, Coyle. & Freedman when they were here ? Let them rest in peace, wherever they're buried.

What was our wage bill compared to the rest of the championship when Dougie was here?

Because whatever it was he was going to get us relegated.

it was bigger than quite a few, id imagine

but it wasnt the 12th in the country, which wouldnt have been so bad if they weren't - on the whole - shit fcukers

something that has fcuked us over at every turn since

:)

Think mounts is forgetting we finished comfortably in mid table the season after. Ie improvement.

With less points than West Ham got the season we sent them down..

we've never been relegated before with a wage bill the 12th largest in the country

doesn't make us the 12th best team

the amount could've been the same and yet we could've had a wage bill that was the 20th, 15th, 5th etc

irrelevant

we got relegated as he was a bell end

except 1933 and 4 earlier occasions.

Well let's stop the handbags, as everyone wants to out geekery each other. Far too much time on your hands. Kevin Nolan is still available. Maybe there's stuff we're not privy to, but on face value he's something we need, unless of course he prefers semi retirement to being kicked. Would have reinvigoratong qualities, unless of course someone wants to hit the 'I know better' geek button

Maybe he simply doesn't want to buy the club.

Coyle would have been all right if it wasn't for all of Megsons dead wood swallowing up the wage bill

:)

Think you are conveniently forgetting the league place we were in when he was sacked

And that the players didn't want to play for him

Bit busy but I always catch up on a Megson debate :)

BSA inherited a squad with little quality. At the beginning of the 2000/2001 season, he was scratching around for 1st team players to field an 11. He went on to win the play-offs and then shock the Premier League with a blistering start. He then began serious player recruitment.

But he also explored sports technologies from around the world, pioneering some in this country. He led the club to its best decade for 80 years.

I'd rather trust BSA's open-minded approach than munchkin ramblings from planet Oz.

What? Allardyce inherited Robbie Elliot, Dean Holdsworth, Whitlow, Bergsson, Gardner, Warhurst.

Some of those were fairly recent big signings at the time.

He was able to buy Frandsen back.

The squad was underperforming but there wasn't a lack of quality.

I think if lennon had the cash to spend that coyle and freedman had, different story all together
