most of those players arent playing for us, now

so, its been the managers fault since sammy lee but now its not

for all we have no money, lennon has chosen to build a squad with 8 senior defenders

and we were 2-0 up and level at 3-3 on saturday

its his team, his players

hopefully, we get better cos theres plenty potential

I'm glad we give managers a chance. Even Douglas and megson got fair cracks at bwfc.

Yet PG gets stick for not sacking them all sooner

You can't win I suppose

it seems like he came out with this well after any anger post match should have cooled, it is just a fucking stupid thing to get mixed up in.

Casino - which of most recent managers do you rate as better or worse than Lennon ?

I'm not having Megson as anything but shit. It's a myth he did a good job at Bolton as he was left with a lot of quality and the football was terrible to watch in the main.

Have to disagree... A 2-2 and 1-0 spring to mind. But ultimately the football was shit; results began to lag, and that Hull game was in the final nail.

However, I think we will have stayed either way. I can't see the Ginger Voldermort being hired to take the club forward; his CV doesn't scream out that. With this in mind, I fail to see his tenure as big a failure as his successors.

Wasn't his team though.

tell you what

and i can see where this conversation is going but we've no game so we'll crack on :)

from memory cos i havent got any books, he inherited a team that made as bad a start as the one we made last season and this

i dont think many of the players he took on played many more games in the prem

obviously nolan, jussi, anelka (though he had to sell him) and davies did and were very good players but who else was there...i really dont remember

im sure most were over the hill, ready to look down it, or nowhere near good enough to get to the top

Megson kept us up that first season he was the only manager in recent history to deliver a home win against the Stretford rags unfortunately some never gave him any credit whatsoever & that & his total lack of PR & somewhat patchy transfer dealings plus the fact that at the end of BSA reign the football was already looking a bit sterile all combined to do for him .If Matt Taylor had stuck away a six yard sitter in the Hull game to make it 3-0 history might have been different. Don't think Megson would have survived indefinitely but we might have avoided Owen Coyle

Just checked, he had Jussi, Campo, Stelios, Nolan, Speed, Diouf, Anelka, Cahill, Kevin Davies,Joey OBrien, Matt Taylor, Ricardo Gardner. I'd have kept that team up, think that rests my case. ???? Edited by Mounts Kipper

Agree with this and for me a sign he is very frustrated not just with the QPR game but his situation as a whole. Who knows how long he will stick it out for.

He did not have Cahill when he arrived as it was an astute purchase in January. The centre halfs were Gerald CID and Andy obrien I think! Also JOB was permanently injured at that time.

I'd have Lennon over any of the others since Allardyce.

Freedman was the worst of the lot imo.

I agree with that but I don't think Lennon will prove to be great enough to take us back where we want to be.I think if Sam had taken over in summer we'd now be a long ball team in the top half of the division.I think the best we'll do with Lennon is stay up for a while before he moves on.

For me can't make my mind up with Lennon I still support him but he definitely needs to improve because our away form is appalling and he can't keep hoping our home form will keep us up .1 win this season concerns me bookies are very rarely wrong!

Pratleys comments in the BEN make me laugh how many times have we heard that drivel, instead of talking about it do something about it and win some bloody games!

faye left the previous summer

he signed taylor and cahill

stelios was fooked

its safe to assume gardner was broken, too

that team was so good we had 5 points from 9

It was virtually same squad that got us into the Europa the season before, we seriously underperformed that season under Sammy Lee and Megson, granted the extra games in Europa league wouldn't of helped, just checked our results that season and they were shocking, the turning point was the Boro game when Luckily an out of form Jussi got injured and Habsi was unbeatable that day, Megson also dropped Diouf that day for Rasiak, utterly unbelievable decision, fortunately Rasiak went off injured after 20 minutes leaving Diouf to come on and turn the game. I'm happy with my call that Megson was a shocker, I'm sure you'll stick with him being ginger Mourinhio, 'twas a great day for BWFC when he left, however as we all now know the following incumbent was unbelievably even a worse manager than Megson.

diouf was dropped cos he said he was fcuking off at the end of the season

a cnuts trick

from memory, it was mccann who turned the game our way

anyway, who cares

things have only improved since he left :)
