Cecil The Lion

And cunt of the week goes to Dr Walter J Palmer, an American dentist who lured a lion out of a national park (where it was protected), injured it with a crossbow, tracked it, shot it, skinned it and beheaded it to use it's head as a trophy.

Now call me old-fashioned but that was a right cunt's trick

What's with these people?

Killing any animal for sport is something I can't fathom. I have no problem with killing for the Table or pest control, but for fun?

deplore animal cruelty of any kind

got dust in my eye after reading this

I'd hate to think what would happen if somebody shot Daisy with a bow and arrow........

Not worth thinking about. Death would be a release for the perpetrator.

Am I alone in not being bothered either way? I am not into it personally but it doesn't offend me. More concerned by child cruelty n stuff

You heartless savage

Am I alone in not being bothered either way? I am not into it personally but it doesn't offend me. More concerned by how the 37 sports teams that I support are doing

Controversial maybe but as senseless as the hunting of an animal is for sport I wonder how many people have died in Zimbabwe under Mugabe's rule but haven't had the internet almost break.

the irony wasnt lost on me

zimbabwe can fcuk right off

Some conservationist, the bloke who tagged Cecil, reckoned the biggest threat to wildlife was human encroachment, and the largest areas protected from this were protected for hunting purposes...

All dentists are sadistic bastards

Apparently Cecil's brother is also a Lion.

Habsi?

He needs a good filling in, that'd crown it all off !!

Will there be a plaque for the lion?

Time of death: two thirty

Got an email this morning that we will no longer accept hunting trophies for transport with UA, and I believe all other US carriers are doing the same.

Bit of bolting the door afterwards, but progress none the less.

What about all the domestic hunting trophies?

Yes, it's some way but maybe a culture change is required. If you're not going to eat it, don't kill it.
