It’s amazing how the right are now just full of the empty, vaccuous types who will just spin any piece of information. There is no substance or principles anymore. It’s embarrasing. Trump could be running thousands of grooming gangs and his usual lapdogs on here and elsewhere would be there to explain why that is ‘ok in this particular instance’.

Truly embarrassing how transparent these people are.

Running thousands of grooming gangs? Wow you’re letting your mind run wild aren’t you Hun.

Dan, or anyone else,  in your own words, and with some proof if you can,  tell me why the POTUS missed yesterday’s parade. Not what you and other haters think happened as that has zero weight behind it. What actually happened.

As someone once said, I agree with NiC.

I bought my first house in late 1971 for under £5,000 a 3-bed semi near Kings School in Macc.

I live just outside Macclesfield and you would struggle to find any 3 bed semi near Kings for less than £350k.

I will go off the official announcement. You lot can go off your assumptions and MSM.

Because it will tell you want you want to hear?

I'm not arsed about the reason btw

And his haters will tell you what they want you to hear.

I would rather go of an official line than that off someone who’s just made up a story as they don’t like him.

I see no one who’s accused him of lying has come out with what actually happened . Weird that.

That's because we're making an assumption based on his character/track record/recent events.

And I'm not necessarily accusing him of lying. Although given the fact that a lot of what comes out of his mouth is demonstrably bullshit it's quite a high likelihood. It could well be that his pilot told him it was unsafe to land.

What I am saying is that with the resources at his disposal - I think it'd likely he could have got their if he'd really wanted to. Or even delayed the start. Or even used his much vaunted Twitter account to apologise for his absence if and when he realised he couldn't get there.

You're right though - I probably wouldn't have questioned this if this was almost any other world leader. It's only due to the fact that he's a monumental bellend at almost every conceivable opportunity which makes me doubt him.

And I thought this even before I read any opinion pieces via the 'MSM'.

Jesus - can you imagine the reaction in this was JC and not DT? :)

Ok let's say the real reason is he didn't want to get wet, do you honestly think the official line will say that?

So do you after all this think the reason is because he didn’t want to get wet?

Can you imagine the uproar if Merkel hadn't turned up

Probably from the people who think Germany started it

So what track records are you going off? What parades did he miss before because of the weather. Guess what Obama missed one because of the weather was there hysteria then? (Well there was a bit in the states but not much over here)

as for JC :) come on man at least put a proper comparison in!

Re-read what I said. I'm not arsed

But if that was the reason I doubt the official statement will say that

It wasn’t the reason was it, it’s clowns who look at a headline and think that was the reason.

You’re doing quite a bit of posting for someone who aint arsed.

I’m saying precisely that.

dont underestimate the lengths he’ll go to in order to protect that Barnet of his.

See if you can find a picture of him with wet hair

I said I'm not arsed about the reason

I've never criticised him for not turning up

I just said the official line may not be the reason

So stop making things up

I'm going off the track record of his entire life up to and including his presidency.

And as I've said before in my post about other world leaders - if Obama had missed it - the thought that he had missed it because he was lazy/incompetent or lying wouldn't have entered my head.

I judge Donald Trump differently as has reached a level of bellend, unique in politics in my lifetime.

If his helicopter couldn't fly I can see him not wanting to damage his massive ego by not arriving in the most extravagant way but by car like Macron and Merkel.

If he was to be late because he had to come by car rather than chopper as planned and they'd let people know in advance then no bugger would be upset by him

Haha “no bigger would be upset by him” really? He was bang on time when he met the queen yet the worlds press had him being late. Love him or hate him we all know if he had turned up late, no matter what excuse he used he would have been ridiculed.

Not wanting to interfere, really, but, if he'd wanted to be thre, wouldn't he have managed it?

I’m thinking more if he really didn’t want to be there he wouldn’t have flown half way across the world to be there! And he would have also pulled out of today’s parade.

Did you find me that picture?

google couldn't

Thanks in advance of being proven wrong

Surely there would be a contingency plan in place if the helicopter could not fly and how bad does the rain have to be to stop a helicopter?

As the American president, he should have been there, but once again his absence has made it all about him

And yes, it would have as big an issue if it was Obama/Bush/Clinton so this isn't a liberal, fake news media thing

How bad does the weather have to be to ground a military standard helicopter?
