folk who became famous due to tv from the 70s onwards

 

think about it, of you were famous in the 70s, you were at least 20 odd

Its partly the fact many people who became famous via traditional media from the late 60's are reaching the end of their lives, but this year has seen a spike anyway in comparison to previous years - which hasn't really got anything to do with 2016 being a cliff edge for a generation - doesn't really work like that and look at the diversity of the age range. So next year might seem a lull, it might not, although the baby boomers are not going to stop dying.

aye, the majority of them that have gone are 65+, and as Casino said we're now getting to the generations where they've been famous throughout most of our lifetimes

 

the only ones who arguably went early this year was Prince, at 57, and Caroline Aherne at 52

 

the rest are just old
