Aye

Much better paid over there & better staff to patient ratio, so much less stress. Most nurses I know here are considering leaving. Walking into a proper crisis. But that was their plan all along.

Correct, then we can sell chunks of the NHS off to help bring down our National Debt😁

And to be fair, I'm all for doing that, as I've said several times before

It would be an unmitigated disaster.

It depends how it's done - done properly, it wouldn't be (although, I can obviously see the flaw in that)

Even when I was in school teachers and nurses (and many more professions) complained about their wages, hardly anything has changed which makes you wonder why do people go into these professions knowing fine well what kind of money they’re going to be on.

Mounts head is going to fall off...

Absolutely agree that you need an aspirational society.

Disagree that taxing the super rich more during a pandemic & a cost of living crisis is class warfare. Neither does it compare to the USSR or communism.

Yet more hysteria & exaggeration from someone constantly moaning about others being hysterical 😁

He's been the biggest drama queen on here for years.

Which is what makes it funny.

Its also being undervalued for what they do, not so much the pay.

I'd love to see RW homeschool his sprogs up to a decent level

I’d assume they’re the ones who aren’t complaining and threatening to strike.

Yes they happily use the food banks and thank their lucky stars for the caring government we have

Why?

in turn, I'd assume it's the ones who sign up to a certain wage in return for certain hours

then find that one goes up, and the other doesn't, and they have to like it, or lump it

and they've had enough

public sector and inflation an all that

I'm assuming like

Wouldn’t they know about this already?  Due diligence and all that.

Why do ex-military types constantly whine on about needing benevolent funds and help from poppy day?

Surely they knew what they were signing up to?

All these ex soldiers moaning on about being hungry and having shit houses. Read the room, lads.

Same way I'd love to see anyone who says, why are teachers moaning about pay try and homeschool their children.

So Edexcel and AQA are two of the main examination bodies for GCSE.

Reading list set texts for year 10 and 11 for 19th Century prose includes;

- Frankenstein

- Silas Marner

- Jane Eyre

- Great Expectations

- Pride and Prejudice

I've just picked the 5 off the list I've personally read and I wouldn't even start to begin to try and teach those to anyone. The amount of resources and learning - plus intimate knowledge of the books and the examination process to get pupils through is extensive.

That's just one subject, so as I say we undervalue them.

I’ve yet to meet one who signed up and said let’s go on strike because wages are shit.

Why would I?
