The Conservatives are generally pretty good orators. A skill taught at the schools they went to. Sunak, Cameron, Cleverley etc. are much better than Starmer, Raynor and co (although I find Wes Streeting quite impressive).

Even bumbling buffoon Boris knew how to hold court and convince people to listen to him.

The problem is, what they say is largely bullshit and anyone with a modicum of sense can see through it. I’ll base my decision on what they’ve actually done in 14 years, not what they say they’ll do given 5 more (because I don’t believe a word that comes out of their mouths).

I find it appalling that Sunak has been allowed to pretend we will fly tens of thousands to Rwanda. Really should have been challenged on that nonsense.

I disagree. He’s nothing like as bad as Dominic Raab, Chris Grayling and co.

Cleverly handles curve balls well IMO. He’s often sent out to handle the tricky live interviews.

Should be taught in state schools as well. I did one youth speaks competition and then we had a once a week debate at sixth form when I went to Turton but that didn't seem to last.

Not sure that this is the point. How many of the louts will be expecting to be moved up the ladder? He will only satisfy a relative few if he does have the so called 'super' majority.  Q1 2025 is when I expect the cracks to really start to show. Having sadly experienced them on a few occasions in my life, they may well excel and comfortably beat my prediction.
