Laura K is awful. I don’t know what political persuasion she is although her interrupting style is annoying and I never feel she is in control of any interview. Poor man’s Emma Barnett.

No she is not but the post was about Farage refusing to be interviewed by her . If you had said she is a Tory fan girl and so Farage would get stitched up you might have made sense. As it is you did not.

The BBC is run by right wing Tories. Under Cameron and May and Johnson it was completely infiltrated with them. I think that ultimately it does a reasonable job still of balance but the likes of Kuennsberg and Fiona Bruce are such obvious Tories and I think that doesn’t do them any favours. Yes they try and show balance but I think their positions become compromised too readily.

Liked her question at the end of each interview.

I've been quietly impressed with him during this campaign. 

I think he's presented himself really well when he's been interviewed - particularly towards the latter part of the election run in. 

Although part of me wonders whether that's because Kier Starmer knows it's his to lose and has been playing it safe. 

Trouble for him is - being quietly impressed with how he's interviewed and seeing his track record in Government are what most people will be weighing up. 

I'd still bin him.

Yep. You can split the Tory period into 3. The first 10 years, the Covid years and since Sunak took over. He concentrated on his 18 months. Don’t think it will be enough but fair do’s to him for trying.

I'd agree with that - but I'd add in 'the Brexit years' as well. I still see him as very much a central figure of the Brexit and COVID years. I reckon a lot of other people will too. That's the battle he's fighting. That and the state the country is in more generally. 

He MIGHT do alright given another 10 years to turn it around. But there's not a cat in hells chance I'd like him/then to have the opportunity. Unless the only other option was Reform which (no offence) I think would make the past 15 years look like a joyful day out at the funfair 😁

No offence.  I’m not backing Reform to get in government. They won’t. If I thought they had a chance, I wouldn’t vote for them. It’s tactical as I said yesterday. 
Change Reform in your last sentence to Labour and that is where I’m at.👍

He wasn’t telling people they were wrong just clear messages on where Labour differ from the Tories on climate, tax, immigration etc.

The problem is that the threads of failure run through the whole lot. Austerity and public services cuts going too far stagnated the economy and decimated public services. NHS started to fail in 2012. Waiting lists were rising from then. Brexit and its economic hit and the chaos of the Tory party just exacerbated the problems. The Truss.

Fundamentally Sunak sitting back and claiming credit for inflation doesn’t help him because we only need to look round the world. If the argument is that a lassiez faire approach will fix what have become a string of worsening national crises then he hasn’t offered a single piece of evidence for this. He doesn’t have any.

It's weird how we're so alike in some ways but see the world so differently in others. I'd just take a steady hand at the helm for a while. And I reckon KS would provide that.

He was continually offered questions from people about how everything is worse than in 2010 (which we all know to be the case) and said ‘I don’t accept that’ every time. So I mean yes he did say people were wrong.

I don't know her personal politics but she has tried to ingratiate herself with the current establishment.

It’s worse every where since 2010, and while Labour deserve a chance they’ve a good few policies that worry me and a possible 450 Labour mps is also a big worry for me. 

Did not see him today, but thought he came out on top in the last debate.

He has done better in later days of campaign where he almost seems to have thought fuck it let's go. His line that the election is about the future not the past fails as it clear he wants that as the past few years of the Tories  have been awful. Starmer gets shit for backing Corbyn but Sunak backed Boris , the PPE farce was under his watch as Chancellor, the furlough scheme I think more people associate with fraud these days, rivers literally full of shit, schools falling down and tax going up are all things he can not hide from. 
 

Calling a snap election still seems crazy as Reform have dominated by making immigration their focus and Farage has the press dancing to his tune. 
IMO Starmer has not been any better in the campaign but you can at least see he has changed the Labour Party so his record stands up to more scrutiny. Played it very safe which might all he needs. Assuming they get in he will 5 years to improve the country or he will be rightly fucked off.
