A Labour government will protect the triple lock on pensions and review the current state of the pensions and retirement savings landscape, to check if the current framework can deliver sustainable retirement incomes for people. 

We will also give the Pensions Regulator new powers to intervene where schemes fail to offer sufficient value for their members.

This is good news for all. It will affect everyone eventually, well, most.

You mentioned earlier that you were worse off after 14 years of this government. Based on the IFS summary of the Labour manifesto and in particular, tax evasion from Paul Johnson, Director:

 

“that on official estimates most of the shortfall in what HMRC collects is not from big, faceless conglomerates but from the self-employed and small businesses".

How much will you be worse off under Labour?

I'm worse off with rental prices - housing is my personal key issue in this election. Financially through I'm doing a lot better (mainly because I'm 14 years on in my career) - and I can afford to pay a bit more in tax if required for policies that I think are justified (Tory's often forget that not everyone who has a comfortable-ish salary wants to pay less tax if you can afford to pay a little more for helping improve public services)

There's also a ton more in those manifesto assesments than the solitary line you've just pulled out there, its a wee bit parroting the same Tax, Tax ,Tax lines from Conservative Central Office, and that's not getting much cut through in the real world, so best of luck with your chances on a football forum.

I’m better off with housing. The ten years of low interest rates helped me pay my mortgage off earlier. Many others did also.

It’s not CCO, it’s the IFS. There is as you say a ‘ton more ‘ in the IFS summary. Not sure what your reference to a football forum has anything to do with it. Football supporters vote.

Many of a certain generation are, the issue is younger people aren't and there is a housing crisis currently. Used to be a time when the older generations would want to help the younger ones with policies designed to help them. Seems there's a seam of 'I'm alright Jack' with some of the later Baby Boomer generation which is a bit of a shame.

I know who the IFS are - and there is a full overview document on each of the party's manifestos for balance, and the point is its a football forum and if it's not getting cut through even with ardent poloitcal animals, I'm pretty sure repeating the same lines on here isn't going to get a ton of cut through. But hey, you crack on.

I did have staff. Before I’d sack them, I’d make sure the replacements were better. I’d look foolish if I employed people worse.

No defelection - I've said the IFS gives a much broader view than the line you pulled out about Labour's manifesto, and the fact that you treat their word as gospel to point out that the party you've claimed to be voting for are standing on a complete platform of nonsense according to them.

So, the question still stands why would you vote for such a party?

And as for the claim 'most don't trust Labour' - even on the economy as of the 2nd June they are ahead with the population on pretty much every leading opinion poll.

Another reform candidate has reformed to the Conservatives. Stating lots of the candidates are racist, bigots etc..

 

I thought that was the idea, these people don't care and that's the shake up they're selling?
