jayjayoghani
you won't be able to do much then, simply from the logistics of getting round LA moochy round Santa Monica (start of Route 66 for anyone else reading), the pier and all. Venice is not far which is bohemian/grimy depending on your point of view. sounds like the trip more about Route 66 anyway, great stuff. frank_spencer
Santa Monica is a great place. Although the number of homeless people there was heartbreaking

frank_spencer
Same in new orleans, makes manchester look sparse The grassy area in between the beach and the coastal road was packed. Not a bad place to sleep rough if you have to i guess

birch-chorley
Some hold up to $1,000 on your credit card, has to be in the drivers name as well Think the average is about $500 They can do debit cards but they will physically take the funds then return afterwards
Site Supporter MickyD Posted June 1, 2018 Site Supporter Share Posted June 1, 2018 Make dead sure your hire company is OK for a one-way rental. Some charge a massive amount if you're driving interstate and leaving the car at a different place than you picked it up.https://www.smartertravel.com/2017/06/19/one-way-car-rentals-driveaways/
