August 28, 20196 yr Their contribution to keeping the club alive should never be forgotten. Appreciate most of them didn’t need any encouragement to make their pro debut but they have given their all the last few weeks. Some will never play another first team game again for us, but they should be cheered to the rooftop if they rock up at the UniBol with someone else in the future. Anyway, how many of the bunch should be immediately in the first team squad? Edwards Zouma Politic Brockbank The rest need to train on for at least another season, but given we will want a squad of at least 20, some others may creep in e.g Darcy.
August 28, 20196 yr Had the same discussion tonight. The four mentioned should be given immediate pro deals, although I’d look to loan out Edwards to get used to the physicality of open age football. Most of the others have shown more than enough to get another year or two as a scholar - maybe one or two on a pro deal - and see how it goes from there. Even with a raft of experienced new players, a lot of them are still going to be knocking around the match days squads and certainly training with the first team.
August 28, 20196 yr Edwards was at southport last year I think he's ready Just because his dad was shit, though miles better than me, I want senior on the bench every week until the game we are 3 up and can get him on the pitch
August 28, 20196 yr Them lads deserve the applause/cheers that they will continue to get for their bwfc careers and beyond. If they hadn’t of stood up in our darkest hour I think we’d of gone. Heroes

Top lad
August 28, 20196 yr Be a good idea to market the kits as special additions. I’m assuming they’ll be a change & sponsors added now. Make some money from it all. Acknowledge the junior whites........

Agreed, and Zouma definitely needs a calming influence alongside him. He's likely to pick up plenty of cards as things stand.
August 29, 20196 yr Would love Brockbank to keep getting games the commitment that lad has shown to our club is incredible didn't even have a contract for the club in summer & still he stayed patience even though teams like Sunderland etc wanted him till he got a contract for the club he loves, future captain for me him.

August 29, 20196 yr Edwards is 23 in October. He is by no means, (besides a lack of league experience) a kid really. Kevin Nolan had scored over 20 Premier League goals at his age. Still, he’s certainly impressed me thus far.

August 29, 20196 yr I'm surprised at the suggestions that Zouma is more advanced in his development than Edwards. I admit I haven't watched him play a huge amount of football, but Edwards appears to me to be the better of the two by a fair margin. He and Brockbank are first-team ready in my opinion, with Zouma and Politic worthy of a place in the squad, and Darcy not far behind them if he fills out a bit.
August 29, 20196 yr Brockbank is the only one of the U21 kids I think is ready for regular 1st team football with Politic chipping in. As mentioned, Edwards isn't a kid and neither is Weir other than by lacking 1st team experience so they will physically be fine. Zouma we can get away with for a few games. The others simply aren't ready
