Korn playing the Nynex on Halloween! Count me in. Maybe I'll get the braids put back in to fully remember my Nu-Metal yoof.

Maiden have always been shit, Axl is old as balls and GnR are pants now. Save your money.

The Cribs were brilliant at Albert Hall last night

Walked away from GnR at Glastonbury as too painful. Doubt they have improved

Seen them a fair few time

I've seen them have diva tantrums and be entertained by that but musically meh.

Seen them with Slash and they were phenomenal.

Missed the last tour apparently they weren't great and it seems like they've got worse. And Axl now sounds like Herbert from Family Guy.

Seen them 4 times - all been brilliant - London Stadium was the best.

Ignore the naysayers - they put on a great show.

Off to see Carl Cox and The Prodigy in a couple of weeks.

Sober!

Best act I've ever seen at a festival had the whole main stage at Leeds dancing away right back up the hill

Ooh, AFI touring in August

This is very impressive one dayer in a big top that looks suspiciously like John Peel  tent

bit of garage rock revival tonight courtesy of The Datsuns

tickets out tomorrow for both The Black Angels and Sparks, which was a very pleasent surprise to see them both rocking up in town

gig scene here is more promising that I thought it would be

Reading in the local Notts events magazine, Tinie Tempah is playing here soon (not my bag, but anyway) but tickets arent going on sale. The only way to get a ticket is to give 4 hours of your time to a local community project.

Had a look on the website and there's about 7 or 8 choices to sign up for, things like helping paint a local youth club or tidying up a garden at a school etc. I like that!

Went to see The New Cut last night in Manchester. Really good young band from Bristol. Cam Davey supported and was very good too. Seen him before as front man of The Lounge Society.

For $66 which is about 35 quid, I think it may be worth it anyway.

Does he do The Perfect Kiss Substance Edit as the back half of that is epic Hook.

He did the full version at Rock City a few months ago. Was a different tour to this one mind.

Was absolutely superb.

Are Foos and QOTSA on the same bill?

I'd be all over that, so long as Foos went first and only did their early hits - was well into them 90s / early 00s - got bored after the wasting light album by which time had seen them live 4 times, not really listened to anything they've brought out since but enjoyed them at glastonbury, they're always good live

will never tire of QOTSA though

Yeah same bill. Its Foos headlining, QOTSA and Mannequin Pussy opening.

MP latest album is a belter.

I've seen Foos a few times too. But for the price and the full lineup it would be daft not to. I will say the latest Foos album that came out a couple weeks ago isnt bad. Best one they've done in a while. And its only about 35 mins. Worth a listen at least.

Moonlandingz in Leeds was great on Friday night. Bug Club in Salford on Friday this week, Get Together festival in Sheffield on Saturday then Bearded Theory a week on Wednesday. Hopefully watch the play off final with my dad at their campervan or get a taxi into Burton.
