The CMA actually determined it was a pre set tiered pricing structure, with the issue being they didn't tell anyone it was in place before they went on sale and chose to only advertise the cheapest tier proves

The CMA are a shit band until NIC tells us otherwise

Mumford & Sons tonight at Leeds Arena. Superb set list of old and new. MM is such a great vocalist/musician.

Our daughter/partner are also going on Wed.

Well worth it imho. Really simple staging - it’s all about the music.

i would rather shit in my hands and clap. opinions are funny; i genuinely find his voice nauseating and turn the radio off when they come on. each to their own though

Sabaton on Friday, Ice Nine Kills on Monday and a festive Me First And The Gimme Gimmes on the 11th. Fun 2 weeks ahead.

😂.  Weird isn’t it, how different music appeals to different folks. Who knows why.

But that isnt Dynamic pricing.

The point of DM is that people can benefit - as we do with flights - but no one gets het up about that.

Oasis price hiked.

There's nothing wrong with advertising at the cheapest prices - we do it all the time - 'prices from xxxx' Im not under any obligations from the ASA to say how many are on at that price.

I know it's not

It's not price hiking either because it was pre planned

It's not advertised as "prices from"

It's tiered pricing with zero transparency

Yeah they did price hike - was talking with someone from TM this week. Its been a pain in the arse those gigs. Not because its exposed anything, just because it made the public think DM is bad when it works well for the ticket buyers usually.

The issue really is bands cant make money from music anymore so live gigs are the only way they do make money.

Did the person you spoke to mention this

It identified concerns in 2 areas:

Ticketmaster did not tell fans waiting in lengthy queues that standing tickets were being sold at 2 different prices, and that prices would jump as soon as the cheap tickets sold out.

Ticketmaster sold some ‘platinum’ tickets at almost 2.5 times the price of ‘standard’ tickets – without sufficient explanation that these offered no additional benefits over some ‘standard’ tickets in the same areas of the venue.

In response, the CMA has secured undertakings to ensure fans buying tickets are treated fairly. These undertakings require Ticketmaster to:

tell fans 24 hours in advance if a tiered pricing system is being used (as it was for Oasis standing tickets). This means fans will know beforehand if there are multiple prices for the same type of ticket, and that more expensive ones will be released once the cheapest sell out.

provide more information about ticket prices during online queues, helping fans anticipate how much they might have to pay. This includes setting out the range of prices available for the event when people join the queue and updating fans swiftly when the cheaper tickets sell out. Additional information to help fans make the best decisions for them will also be given about the prices of tickets sold using tiered pricing.

not use any misleading ticket labels. Ticketmaster will ensure that tickets are described accurately and do not give the impression that one ticket is better than another when that is not the case

Yeah and it will change. Doesnt much effect me as I dont sell gigs, so all my days are working with agents and doing inventory management, but the general public distrust of ticketing that Oasis did hasnt helped to be honest.
