Do the police have to give DNA samples before joining or whilst in employment? Because if they don't, I think this is something that needs looking at.

Not sure you can. You might have the human rights people on your case.

By extension, do you take samples from anyone with access to kids or vulnerable people?

Fire brigade, NHS, teachers etc.

Dunno.. There just seems to be a lot of coppers being absolute sex pests and it would maybe deter them from committing such crimes if they knew they'd be quickly identified

I don't think they're proportionally any higher than the wider public.

In fact iirc, they're lower.

Of course they should be, but I'm not sure it's such a great idea to take their DNA. There is a lot of suspicion around at the moment, ID cards certainly not being wholly appreciated. 

Can anyone think of a good reason for allowing him to live? Clearly jail isn’t doing the job.

Bless him he was making lovely figures in the workshop, then decided to grab a similar kind of weapon to what he used to kill 3 kids and a woman to try and kill his mate. How is it even possible for such people to get such privileges? The whole system is a farce.

If you think saving money is an argument for the death penalty - then you need to do some more reading about it as the opposite is true.

We don’t have to be that brutal, a week in solitary first then a lethal injection. Some people shouldn't have the right to appeal or human rights, how much is being some on Huntley now? Farce

You don’t have to change the full system. Carry on living in our system but if you want to kill little girls you will end up being sentenced to death. 

Maybe a new type of Capital Punishment.
Insert a plant in prisons to knock off the most obnoxious type of individual.
