Tickets Still Available For City Clash  

Bolton Wanderers Football Club can confirm that they have a  

limited number tickets available for this Saturday's derby  

clash against Manchester City at the Reebok Stadium, kick off 3pm.

Supporters can purchase tickets in person by visiting the  

Ticket and Membership Office; by telephone on 0871 871 2932  

(please note, a ??1.50 booking fee is charged on all orders).

 

I know football is expensive but it's a bit of a joke we can't sell out this game.

Remove the City and replace it with United and then all the 'fans' would come out! F*CKIN people like that got tickets for Carling Cup Final and stopped 'genuine' fans from going!

That ??1.50 booking fee - is that even if you drag your arse all the way down to the Reebok to pick up your tickets?

At ??38 + ??1.50 booking fee for a ticket in the East/West Upper, is it any fooking surprise it's not sold out???

Booking Fee or not United at home wasn't a problem and never will be!

Although they didn't charge me the ??1.50 on my United tickets

 

The pricing of tickets is done on a business basis to optimise profit, so f'ing what if there's a few empty seat etc.?

 

This is a football club and having a full house MAY be the difference between a draw and a win, at ??500,000 a place in the league at stake, surely that needs to be factored in to their fucked up little formula.

i think it is more important getting a full house every game than charging stupid money, no football game should be more than ??30.00, if the extra seats were put in after last years succes and prices were frozen we would have sold out more games.

??38 is a bit steep but i have my season ticket so thats not a problem for me! i rather see a flat rate for every match throughout the season of ??30 then any extra money required for derbys etc is covered by money saved from matches against fulham etc!

thing that irritates me is the ??1.50 handling fee , and if they say you can only apply by post then why dont they sack half the people in the ticket office, cos theyre not needed on the windows to sell tickets for matches. that'll save some money for the club, and save us the ??1.50.

I have a few mates who are city fans and were moaning about the price of there allocation, so they got esl tickets.

Think I may point em out for a laugh.

they just thought money makin with it tho wen they do postal applications only and charge 1.50 theyr holdin us to ransom really as they will be sold out if u dont pay the 1.50 and wait til u can walk up and buy em, u probably wont get a ticket so really theyr penalisin u for the priority even if u have the 3 vouchers which is wrong

 

the slidin price scale is wrong but some other clubs have been doin it for ages its seriously impactin on attendances this year tho it will have to be reviewed

i think the different prices for different categories could stay but it will have to be scaled down a bit with the absolute maximum price in the ground bein 35 quid rather than 38

The only other way is to let ManU PLC subsidised by their legions of plastics and Chelski bugger off and form a Euro League. The rest of the Prem are wasting their time trying to compete with them financially and it will only end in tears.

3. General standards of living also cost more, as do mortgages. This means that:

All this makes people more reluctant to spend their leisure time and money travelling across the country to watch a game they can see on Sky. I know it's not the same, but if we're away at Pompey for a night game and it's on Sky in the pub, it's either a day off work (??80 national average), transport, beer, food, match ticket ie a grand total of around ??200. Or you can go to your local and spend ??20 on ale. It's not rocket science, and it's not just football's fault that it costs so much nowadays.

the thing is at one time sky needed football more than football needed Sky.

 

Is that still the case ?

 

As soon as a team drops out of the Premier league they start to lose the Sky money and all struggle. If Sky lost football it would struggle as well, as loads of people would cancel at least their sports subscriptions, but they would survive cause they have managed their debts.

 

skys coverage of football and the price they were prepared to pay showed what a terrible job bbc and itv were doing, and how bad the league was at negotiating !!

 

what everyone involved in football seems to fail to grasp is the maths in traffords example, who in their right mind is going to travel to southampton on saturday evening to watch a game that is on in your own front room at a fraction of the cost ? the clubs have relied on the fact that football fans are not right in the head, but less and less people are prepared to do this.

 

i wish we filled the reebok every week and it will piss me off i city fans are jumping in the bolton parts of the ground but i will not slag off people who are choosing to spend their money on their families at xmas rather than going to a game.

 

the choice is a day at the reebok for a family of four or a new play station, you decide whilst standing waiting for a drink,piss,pie, bet whatever which is money well spent.

and worse still

 

when sky have to hand over games to the bbc and itv which i hear they will do soon after sky's monopoly deemed illegal, we will lose ??2M at least per season

 

with regards city

 

i know city fans who got tickets in the south stand lower because it was ??8 cheaper and a lot easier than trying to get city tickets on the away end

I have stopped going to away matches simply because of the extreme cost. I get pissed off when some people on hear slag us fans off for not taking up our allocation or not flling our own ground. Perhaps these people have so much money they don't know what to do with it or they still live with mummy and daddy paying ??25 per week board.

??38 is a disgrace for 90 minutes entertainment(and I use that term entertainment loosely at the moment). Having said that I will be at all the home LEAGUE games as I own a season ticket. I will probabaly get slaged off for not going to the early round cup games but I don't give a shit. Rant over.
