The Grand Départ is in Copenhagen, now live on ITV4 & Eurosport 1. 2 more stages in Denmark, then off to Dunkirk on Tuesday.

Currently pissing it down in Copenhagen.

Can't see beyond another Tadej Pogačar victory in the General Classification (GC), with Primož Roglič runner up unless he falls off his bike, which he's prone to when the pressure mounts. 

Would love to see Geraint Thomas round out the podium.

Pogacar was 8/13 when I last looked, so barring an accident it could just be a procession.

Some brutal looking mountain stages which tend to be the ones I watch, just to see extremely fit blokes reduced to tearful wrecks 😁

Why do folk watch this shit? Same as a marathon, you are watching someone run along a road for miles. They do they same thing from start to finish, how is that remotely watchable?

Agreed. It’s not like watching either cycling or marathon would improve anyones ability…

That said, I’ve been watching Bolton play football for almost 50 years but it hasn’t made my ability to kick a football any greater.

Some decent climbs this year with only a couple that looked like they were designed by Pogacar for Pogacar.

Read they had shunned Riis for the depart yet have no issues wheeling folk like Merckx out year on year.

Yes, let’s spice it up and have cyclists at both ends of each section starting simultaneously. Would mean the pelotons would get exciting.

Pidcock did a decent Time Trial. He's got some talent, but won't be a GC candidate as he's not a top climber. Will perhaps be looking to win a breakaway stage.

Watching some of them descend round the bends is fucking scary at times.

I know that folk who've never watched it don't understand how tactical it can be. It's not just a case of "pedal faster" 😁

 

Theres nothing comes close to some of those alp finishes

I do think tv have a way to go in bringing the sheer challenge of it all to life

Those climbs dont come across as well as they need to

Me and you love F1. Similar could be said about that I suppose. I love cycling on my mountain bike but have no interest in watching any cycling other than the velodrome

Alpe d'Huez back this year, 1st time since 2018 when Geraint Thomas won the stage.

Looking to forward that stage on July 14th 👍
