Bea Smith Posted December 20, 2004 Share Posted December 20, 2004 bought the eldest a mini moto bike for xmas, tried to get it running and there appears to be a problem with the carburetor. the company we bought it from have now 'dissapeared', oh poo. in mess now as not long till xmas as desperatley need to get it sorted, otherwise major dissapointing xmas for him. anyone know anything about these mini motorbikes? or know anyone who does. please please help. missus c in begging mode Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They've got them ickle bikes in the window. Not sure if they do repairs or not. Might be worth a try. Theres also 1 in walkden, on the A6 between the Stocks & Langford & Thomson's forecourt. NinjaG2 Posted December 21, 2004 Share Posted December 21, 2004 Right 1st is fuel getting to the carb one problem with mini motos is that when the fuel tank is put on it traps the hose stopping the fuel getting to the carb. take the outer casing to the tank off and the try running it. The fuel tap should should be pointing up and then make sure the choke is fully down...One last thing before you put petrol in did you check inside the tank. the 2 ive got i have found loads of plastic inside and had to get that out first or it will block the flow of fuel. [-X Have you got insurance etc? yes dad itll be off road!!! theres a racing track in radcliffe and they also have regular minimoto racing at the reebok. we have all the safetly equipment ie helmet'suit/shoulder/knee/elbow protection, the correct boots gloves etc. we will get insurance when the bleedin bike actually works. know where youre comin from mg, theyre noisy little things, and the way they zip round on em near our house drives me mad. suprised ive not been knocked down yet, cos they ride em on pavements etc. is that a suitable answer?? or are you going to ground me pops?? Less of your cheek or your over my knee [-( Its a pity not all parents are like you, one of these kids on bikes will get seriously hurt and the parents will blame everyone bar themsleves.
