Watching the interview and having seen him speak before, I get the impression that he’s not following the data as he suggests but finding data to match his underlying belief that he doesn’t agree with vaccines at all.

The entire world is getting vaccinated. I don’t believe that one credible, well respected figure in the medical or scientific community has said this is either a bad idea or worthless exercise.

There have been lots of people saying we’ve got nothing to worry about right now because people aren’t getting ill from omnicron. But it’s these 3 people and all the others like them who could be passing the virus to their parents and grandparents over the next week that might be the big worry. We’ve taken one hell of a gamble on the most vulnerable also not getting ill. Fingers crossed.

Walking through a suburb of Nottingham over the weekend, my kids got very excited when they saw some teenager recording himself on the High Street. They went up to him to say hello. He was really nice to them and happily had a selfie. Turns out he's 17 years old, has 11 millions followers and is worth about £7m from posting on social media. Different world.

Pretty much every county around the world is imposing restrictions because of the new variant and most of them way more severe than what is being done here. Presumably they’re all wrong?

Well they’re either socialising - not allowed however much they might have “needed it” with all the pressure they were under at the time (who wasn’t?) Or they’re drinking at work - possibly worse?

I get that some people will be more or less bothered about what initially happened. But for me, what’s worse is all of the lying and the number of people being rolled out and trying to excuse what happened. I just couldn’t lower myself to it.

Just watched Dominic Raab trying to justify the Downing Street cheese and wine meeting. Turns out the public just didn’t understand the rules. Apparently we were allowed to socialise in a work setting after all. We just misinterpreted the rules

It’s been years since I watched much F1 but I thought I would give it a go today. Genuinely didn’t mind who won. But after that shit show I am out.

Clearly it would have been fairly anti climactic to finish under the safety car. But tough. Hamilton was home and hosed until the accident. He shouldn’t have been punished for someone else’s mistake.
