Administrators proposals now available on Companies House website. Not a pretty read.

Iran
Not saying it won't cause trouble/economic damage, but this time around American's have their own oil Favourable time of year - unless it lasts until winter. Do we have any oil fired power stations any more? Makes North Sea drilling and UK fracking more attractive/profitable.

Tour De France
Buried himself to win today. Good win nonetheless, but let's see what he has left for the Tourmalet tomorrow.

Lack of communications and now fallout between the two sets of administrators. Very poor on all sides. With hindsight Quantuma got their retaliation in first yesterday.

Best way to shut Bassini is to complete the deal, instead of spending more money we don't have on getting lawyers to send him threatening letters about the threatening letters he has sent the administrators.

Guessing neither FV nor the Administrators are feeding Nixon. So presumably it’s another party to the deal (creditor or a would-be bidder) trying to destabilise the deal or gain some leverage.

Iles reporting significant breakthrough. https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17754966.significant-breakthrough-made-bolton-wanderers-takeover/ sounds like good news but didn’t know we needed one.

I'm no fan of Parky football, but as others have said there's no time to bin him and have a team ready for the start of the season. What he has got is a good record at this level, so if that's keeping us in League 1 or (I wish) competing for a play off place, that will be job done for now. If it goes pear shaped early he will be potted. Regardless of the football I think he deserves respect for how he has behaved through all this crap. Until the players strike he held the club together. I'll be renewing as usual.

Major League Baseball in London
Watched Memphis Redbirds play Nashville Titans last month. Minor League. Was the end the 5th innings before we made it down from the free bar and food to find our seats. Then nodded off in the sun to be woken by our host bringing us more beer. Won't bother again. 3 hours with no idea what was going on.

+1 Thought the administrators comments about the staff were particularly apposite.

Barney R I P
Think that would be about the right age, was in the year below me at Hayward base if I remember rightly. Don't remember him being much of a fan, but he did get into a few scrapes at school.

I share the frustrations about the delay but there is nothing much I can do to influence it/speed it up. I sit here and worry quietly instead, but I guess others voice their concerns on social media however stupid the comments. The main cause of anxiety (the further delay) has been created by the poor communications from the Administrators. They were to eager to please with their HoT on Friday announcement and have been paying the consequences reputationally ever since. Always better to under-promise and over-deliver.

Daily Mail story linking us with a Dutch consortium fronted by Dirk Kuyt. Strange unless he is a backer to an existing bidder.

I walked from the hotel to Next the other day across the car parks. They are huge (you don't appreciate it in the car) and you could build a row of shops on the ends opposite Next without giving up a huge number of spaces, and given it is likely to be at least 3 years before the UniBol has crowds of 28000 again, football parking is not the big issue. The key is improved road access which the link road should provide plus arguably a more business friendly local council. The GM Spatial Framework has large areas of the M61 corridor being developed as well. The attraction of Middlebrook baffles me (it's cold and windy), but empty units go quickly. I guess most people want an easy drive and free parking rather than trailing into Bolton TC, hence the attraction of Middlebrook and the Trafford Centre (although look closely there and there must be a dozen or so empty units). Clearly there is money to be made, but whether BWFC/FV want to be a property developer or just a land seller remains to be seen. Think the Reebok Masterplan had more offices and a hotel around the North Stand End didn't it?

Hopefully the £1m means players wages are paid and if any want to jump ship we get a transfer fee.
