Whilst i wholeheartedly agree with this Mounts I don't see this as ever happening and yes there is a killing the golden goose argument. Regarding tickets prices the likes of us and clubs in a similar predicament, I feel that there is little choice but to look at this option. The English National Opera a few years back face a huge deficit despite massive subsidies so they put their prices up. Result? Deficit that was even larger.
