  1. Sing away, just don't be waving your arm about ************************************************************* England supporters who give Nazi salutes during this summer's World Cup in Germany will be prosecuted and banned from domestic and international football matches, the home secretary, Charles Clarke, said yesterday. Announcing measures to counter the hooligan threat to the improving reputation of England's vast travelling support, Mr Clarke condemned any supporters considering exploiting historical animus between England and Germany. Invoking the Nazi era - including giving a Nazi salute, denying the Holocaust and wearing Nazi symbols - is illegal under German law, and Mr Clarke said he would support the German authorities in prosecuting fans for such offences. "The era was one of total horror and destruction. It is not a joke or a thing to be made fun of and anyone who thinks it is is wrong. It is deeply insulting and wrong," he said.
  2. I've only ever been asked for ID once in a pub. I was 33 at the time. Made my day
  3. Christ, you're hard work. I don't know how many times I need to type this before it gets through but I'll try again. He didn't pay a penny. He didn't take a wage, he paid a 1.2 Billion dividend to his wife who lives in Monaco and avoided paying ??300 million.
  4. It wouldn't. The spotty lad flipping burgers at McDonalds paid more than him He didn't pay a penny. Zero, nowt, jackshit, diddlysquat.
  5. Whilst we on about tax avoidance - you'll all be pleased to know that all of you paid more tax last year than Philip Green , owner of Top Shop, BHS. He paid himself a dividend of ?? 1.2 BILLION last year and didn't pay a penny of tax on it.
  6. First 250 k or so goes where you want it, government get 40% of what left. Robbing gits.
  7. Is that Harry fella, who speed marches everywhere with a mac on still about?
  8. Add to that - bits of dead people and maggots.
  9. So your chairman was a gobshite a couple opf years ago? Has he changed?
  10. A question for you. Why didn't Sam go when he had the chance?
  11. Kicking him out is heavy handed I agree, just questioning what sort of bloke would do that in front of his kids. I'm probably an old fashioned bugger but hardly setting the lad an example is it?
  12. What's a bloke who has his son with him doing giving it the w??nker sign anyway? No wonder this country is populated by little scrotes.
  13. Is it not just the fact that most of us have grown up and got other priorities? My dad used to go home and away. In the 80's he stopped going and he even got free tickets because he used to sell the lifeline tickets. He just wasn't that arsed anymore. He'd see me getting all worked up over it and tell me, its just a game, blokes kicking a bag of wind about, it doesn't affect your life, win or lose you've still got to get up on a Monday, pay the mortgage. I used to think he was mad, but now I've grown up got a family, mortgage I see his point. I still enjoy going to the match, but I don't sink into a depression if we lose anymore. I don't go to away matches, I pick and choose my cup games.
  14. True, but Burnden with 5000 in wasn't that great.
  15. We've done that before, by getting relegated to division 4. Massive case of rose tinted Burnden glasses here. Must be because you're all yearning to paddle insome other blokes piss and have some owd bloke breathing Woodbines into your face. For the vast majority of games at Burnden, the atmosphere was no better then it is now.
  16. Bleeding hell, cheer up. I'm old enough to remember Burnden having less than 5k in and the kids playing football with an empty Ben Shaws bottle down at the front of the paddock being the noisiest thing in the ground.
  17. WHUJOHN11 - are you blind or are you doing the cyber equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting "nah, nah, nah" Why didn't you sell out for the 4th round?
  18. WHUJOHN11 - Why did you not sell out in the 4th round?
  19. Really? Only you didn't sell out the last round.
  20. Think I'll be all marched out, what with the Vodafone march next week and the Virgin Pay as you Go one the week after.
  21. You do realise that you have got to sell out now don't you, after "giving it the large one" last week?
  22. Already done that - it was a piece of piss.
  23. Pablo - what's that signature about? Jesus, you'll be calling yourself the People's Club next.
