Afghan Cuisine.

Went to some Afghan place in Rusholme yesterday. Had this monster kebab - lamb and chicken, huge pitta. Salad. Tray with chilli and yoghurt sauce. Immense! My “part-time” veggie status had it’s “meat day” for sure! Meat was cooked on the skewers dropped into the clay ovens. Prefer it done that way. Chargrilled onion on the side. Drooling thinking about it.

Had the dream last night. Carlisle raced into a 2-0 lead at Pride Park. We reciprocated and did the same at Posh. However, Derby pulled one and then another back. They then had a player sent off. Carlisle trying everything to get a third. We managed to go 3-0 up. But Carlisle didn’t pull it off and Derby fans invaded the pitch, promoted. Shit dream!

Last 4 weeks, resting heart rate is averaging 47. Vo2 Max at 51. Still eating too much. Did a 37 mile bike ride yesterday but also ate a monster kebab in Rusholme! (Appear to have pulled my thigh muscle though!) However, forgot to mention that I did smash Manchester Marathon the other Sunday, a PB of 3:26:47. Quite chuffed with, considering my ankle sprain was only 8 weeks prior. Was taped up by physio which helped (I think!). Going to get back on MyFitnessPal next week. 5 weeks to holiday and definitely feeling a little wobbly around the midriff.

Last minute decision to go watching The Bootleg Beatles at Buxton Opera House last night. Great band, stunning old venue. Total sell out but emailed the box office asking if they had any returns. Bingo, got one the day before. Audience was a bit like the extras from Cocoon, but hey ho, once I’d had a couple of 0% lagers and a bag of Maltesers I was rocking!

Haha, correct. I wasted hours at work, literally hours and hours, laughing my tits off and doing no work.

Also read that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley had already bought out the rights to Kiss from Ace Frehley and Peter Criss many many years ago…. So that means the new deal pays out to only them leaving Frehley & Criss without an extra cent from this new deal. Don’t know if they will throw a few dollars their way, or just say “bad luck fellas”.

Read that Kiss have sold all their rights for 300 million. Think the plan will be to reproduce the ABBA Voyage experience for them. I could probably only name 2 songs of theirs. Are they really that big?
