Get the point you're trying to make here but signing wingers doesn't mean our plan is to score every goal with a header from a floated cross from out wide. If anything, it gives two options. We can score that type of goal with a Dalby type player or wingers can deliver cut back crosses for a more "fox in the box" type player. If only we had a prime Klasnic.

I think the need to replace the goals of Collins or the 10-15 you mention becomes less of a worry (not completely) if SS can sort out the defence. We completely leaked goals last season. And I’m sure stats would show the teams that concede the least will end up higher up the league. Worth noting that even though I’m not his biggest fan, Mcatee only scored 1 less goal in the league than Collins last year. So it’s not like Collins was way out ahead of everyone.

Collins got 12 league goals last season (which is only 1 more than McAtee). It’s not as hard to replace when you also try and then hopefully stop conceding as many as we did last season. If we’re getting a decent fee for him and enables Schuey to strengthen in other places then I’m okay with it. I have a feeling the new lad from non league will be around the first team squad this season too. It felt odd we made a “larger” announcement for a B team player.

If it was a permanent transfer i'd agree as you've got time to bed in. But this is effectively a 3 month loan from the end of Jan so when you take it all into account, I'd argue being match fit is huge factor.

Hasnt he only playe around 45 mins of football this season? I think Etete is the profile of player we need but not the player we need. By the time he's up to match fitness, could be another 5/6 weeks away. Need someone who can make an immediate impact but they're harder and more expsive to come by.

If he's a big, physical target man type of player and in turn helps some of the others score more, i'm fine with this.

Was never going to be any drastic changes. Whilst I know Vic isn’t fantastic we can’t carry on playing 2 moments men with Mcatee and Collins and if we have to drop one of the two I’d probably just edge Mcatee.
