Danny Ward
He's not a wide player I don't think, was better on Friday when he was upfront

Danny Ward
Another neat finish from Ward just now, I like the look of him

Your Goal Of The Season
Muamba or Davies against West Ham (away) for me

Transfer Rumours
36 conceded goals in 18 under Megson 31 conceded in 20 under Coyle 2 goals per game under Megson 1.55 under Coyle

Forest V Blackpool
I went to Blackpool for a pre-season friendly (around '97-'98) but haven't been since they started the re-build

Forest V Blackpool
He'd be illegible Superb performance. I really do like Holloway, even behind his funny quotes, he's a top bloke
-
Transfer Rumours
Would take Belhadj on left hand side of midfield. Left back was only his position because of Pompey's injury problems

Transfer Rumours
I meant signing no over 30's, I don't think experience is what we need. We're no longer in the market for an Okocha or Youri or Campo. If we were then fine, I'd rather have a 22 year old Wade Elliott type player than a 31 year old. I don't want us signing average older players.

Movement is a sign of a great attacking based player, you never see Messi standing still do you? Look at Wilshere, he's always on the move and always in space (I'm not comparing him to Messi). You don't score goals by standing still and not moving.

Transfer Rumours
Really? From what I've seen he's no where near PL standard, he started on the bench a lot of the time. Coyle has also gone on about younger players, I think we have enough experience in the squad, no under 30's should be the rule this summer.

Transfer Rumours
BN reckon we're signing Wade Elliott who is 31. God knows why

Atletico V Liverpool
I just don't get the constant support for Benitez after what is a disasterous season for them

Exit Door In The Summer
As long as he doesn't play for us, I don't care! JLS will go I think, Shittu obv. Not sure about anyone else TBH

Player Of The Season 09/10
BN Link Yeh, after Muamba and Lee, I'm struggling to find a 3rd

Reet, Building For Next Season.
So he's 32 (or 32 this year). Is injury prone, slow and has caused off field issues at his current club. Sounds perfect to me.....

Player Of The Season 09/10
BWSA Player of Season is K Davies. Clearly voted by idiots and/or people who do not go to the games.

Reet, Building For Next Season.
We don't need Davies and Beattie, both of a similar age. If Beattie was 28 then yeh I'd take him. Coyle is unlikely to sign anyone over 30, that's not his philiosophy

No.

Rich Pickings?
He's pissed all the time, injured, unfit and hasn't played well. Plus he's on ?50k a week, probably mroe or less what we paid Okocha, Youri etc. Some suggessted that it was because he missed the pen, you can't boo a player for that, these things happen. Altidore would be OK although after Saturday you might have another Diouf on your hands.

Rich Pickings?
Din-dan do anyone? I'd take Dindane, Piquionne and O'Hara (don't think we'll get anywhere near him). No one from Hull or Burnley, Bullard is always pissed by all accounts.

The negativity on here is staggering, WE ARE SAFE. Yes, that's right S-A-F-E. Coyle was brought in to keep his up and he's done that, it doesn't matter how or who with or whether he's improved things or not, he's done his job this season. Would Megson have kept us up? Well, we'll never know. Has Coyle made improvements? OF course. Individually (Knight, Muamba, Ricketts, Robinson and to a certain extent Elmander, plus the signing of Wilshere) and as a team (actually keeping clean sheets, playing some better football, coming from behind against Stoke is something we hadn't done this season etc). There are still problems all over the pitch (and in the squad) but Coyle has had NO time to fix this, he's no miracle worker, he's not going to suddenly turn a team in the bottom 3 into Barcelona which some people seem to expect in here. We look more solid (at times) than we ever did under Megson, we lost leads under him too (Burnley, Hull, Spurs, Fulham, Man City plus on many occassions when we lost leads but came back to win which we almost did yesterday). We also went to the likes of Sunderland and Blackburn and played poorly under both managers. I see a common constant running through this and that's the players, so therefore OC needs the summer to build up a team as much as he can. In his interview yesterday he indicated that the squad as a whole did not possess enough mental strength, if that's true then no manager can improve that, it's something a team has or doesn't have so new players may be needed to give the team some leadership/direction on the pitch.

Spurs 1 Wanderers 0

OK, in Janaury, if someone had said: "Coyle will have you safe with 2 games to go" What would have you said? This is not Coyle's personnel, he's tightened up the defence. And yes, there are still issues and there have been poor performances along the way, but we are safe. In summary, stop whinging.

I heard the same thing from someone I trust News of the World on Sunday.

Reet, Building For Next Season.
I'd be happy to get rid of Gretar, an unpopular opinion I know (mainly because he claps the fans and puts in a hard tackle every now and again) but he's not very good defensively and his passing is poor. His crossing has got worse. Given a run of 6-8 games at right back (which he hasn't had under Coyle) I think Ricketts will be fine. Ultimately though, full back is a weak position for us, especially left side.
