I couldn't agree more, we are a selling club and always will be as will every small club be unless they have a Jack Walker type man , if a top 4 club bid ?15 for Bentley or Santa Cruz then Blackburn would probably have to sell, even Middlesborough who have a rich owner had to sell Yakubu in the end! It isn't Gartside's fault that Braaten is clearly rubbish and any money he gave Sammy Lee was completely wasted (other than O'Brien/Guthrie) Plus most of our previous big sales have been due to our financial situation (Eidur, Claus etc). Our last major sale was Ricketts which proved amazing business in the end. Out of interest other than Eidur/Stubbs (winning things with Celtic) has any player ever left Bolton in the last 10 years or so and gone on to be a sucess? Look at Curcic, Blake, Gunlaugsson, Andy Todd, Mark Fish etc

If people can't afford to go then fair enough, I live in Essex and have a season ticket, money is tight but I choose to travel up to Bolton for games rather than go to the pub 2/3 times a week, that might be sad but that it is my choice. Some fans can't genuinely can't afford to go but there are a certain group that could go if some sacrifices are made (drinking/gambling etc), they aren't prepared to do that which is their choice. I am not saying that anyone should sacrifice food/mortage for BWFC but if you add up what some people spend a week on alcohol it adds up to a match ticket. Those fans who won't go because of the stadium/style of football/manager/chairman etc are not real fans, end of story

He fell out with Newcastle players because he clamped down on the indiscipline and they didn't like it. There are two sides to every story, I am sure Souness will at least get some respect from players, would Gary Megson? I don't think so

This guy has fallen out with many players, relegated WBA, did sweet FA at Forest! He got them promoted twice but his record in the PL is awful. I remember 3 years ago when Gartside came to Lancaster Whites and I asked him who he would have gone for if Allardyce had gone to Newcastle the first time and he said Megson! I really do not want this guy under any circumstances!

Souness would be OK, he would sort out the dressing room but I would worry about Anelka/Diouf's relationship. He did win a trophy with Rovers and they finished 6th in another season but he had to sell his best player (Duff) and then one of is other players career pretty much ended (Jansen and the car crash) I realy really do not want Megson under any circumstance!

I though Campo and A O'Brien played very well, Diouf/Anelka did OK with what little service they got but both were clearly tiring towards the end, Davies did his usual job very well. Gardner played OK but I was worried about the right hand side, especially in the first half, a lot of Spurs move came down that side and Joey was left exposed which I am not blaming him for but I had a feeling Spurs tartgeted him. As much as I like Joey as a player I would rather have Hunt in as he is the better defender IMO. As for Nolan, well the ironic cheers said it all, he worked hard but did nothing else, his performance was slightly better than last week when he (and everyone else) were truly abysmal

I haven't posted here before but are you actually having a go at fans who aren't going to an away European game?
