Danny Ward

Just beeing having a nosey on the Swindon Town website and found a thread on one of our lads down on loan there, Danny Ward. They seem to love him down there. I wonder if he'll be pushing for a 1st team place next season to replace the aging Matty Taylor?

Have a look yourself...

aging????

he's 28 or sommit!

kinell i feel old.

plus 8 goals in 33 games aint bad for a player who as had a 'poor season'.

only 3 assists though, which isnt good enough imo.

Without Taylor we would have been very close to being relegated, yet a good number of our fans think he is the Anti Christ, Roy Greaves scenario methinks.

I have said this before but I will say it again, Ward is the best young lad I have seen coming through for a few years, good left foot, has vision and can score goals, similar playing style to Gudjohnson, but admittedly not quite that good.

He is genuinely two footed and strong on the ball. If he reminds me of anyone it is a young Franny Lee.

Just hope that Weiss does not block his route. For a start, he is a miles tougher player.

I hope your right, what a player Franny Lee was.

Swindon's Danny Ward wants to return to Bolton

Danny Ward has scored six goal for Swindon Town

Danny Ward has admitted he could play his last game for Swindon this weekend.

The 18-year-old is on loan from Bolton and will go back to the Reebok Stadium if Swindon win automatic promotion.

Swindon need to win at Millwall on the last day of the season, and if Leeds fail to beat Bristol Rovers, Town will go up.

Ward, who plans to establish himself in Bolton's first-team next season, said: "The time down here has flown and it's been a really good experience for me."

Swindon took Ward on loan in November on an initial month-long deal, which was extended until the end of the season.

Since then, the striker has made 28 appearances for Swindon, scoring six goals.

Ward has become a fans' favourite at the County Ground, but he told BBC Wiltshire that he was planning to move back to Bolton to try and win a place in their first-team next season.

"I spoke to Owen Coyle a couple of weeks ago and he said he was pleased with how things were going," added Ward.

"It'll be good for me to go back and get in a Premier League side hopefully."

Danny Ward scored again for Swindon at Millwall on Saturday.

Great goal by Ward in the playoffs

The lads done it again .. the luck we need that

Another neat finish from Ward just now, I like the look of him

Just scored for Swindon good game Swindon down to 10 3-3 on aggregate

He's gonna score again in this match... ITK!

He nearly did as well, curled it just past post. Come on Danny!!

Great Penalty young man

Best penalty of the lot! Well Done Danny Ward

Impressed with the lad tonight. Could be a good un for the future.

I thought he was average tonight.

He looks a decent player in the making but did nt get that involved.

I am not knocking his ability or potential just saying tonight did nt think he did much in hte game, Sky gave him man of the match so either i missed something or they just gave to whoever scored the goal.

He's not a wide player I don't think, was better on Friday when he was upfront

Didnt watch him last night

In fact never seen him play

I think he's the new Cruyff

I listened on the radio which is slightly better than playing FIFA2012, Steve Claridge was critical of him for not tracking back.

he looked well out of his depth at the start of the season when he came on as sub a couple of times

understandable (though I'm sure he came on up front)

good to see him getting some games under his belt but I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up on loan again or transferred full time to league one (or championship)

couldn't imagine him breaking into the first team on a regular basis given the relative quality of our current midfield

He's definately got something that lad can't say he stood out last night however the game was a tribute to the standard of football

generally in the English league but he bagged a goal & could have got the winner.18yrs old & improving , might be good to give him another

season at Swindon playing regularly hopefully in the Championship.

Only seen the highlights but it was a cute finish for the goal to take it into extra tme, unlucky with a wicked curled strike with his left from outside the bos and a difficult angle. Also held his nerve to score his penalty. Hopefully can keep on improving and make an impact.

i think i speak for everyone when i ask...whats his stats like on champ mananager?
