  2. Surprised to hear about Nicks at chequerbent - we went one lunchtime and it was good and the staff were fine - perhaps they struggle at night but no excuse for an attitude. Good choice with Gaucho though. I'm salivating at the thought of their fillet !! Am I right in thinking it's owned by one of the Rolling Stones or is that bs ?
  3. Cheers Pablo - If you're up to it can you answer: Whereabouts does it drop you ? (we're stopping near the main square) Do you need to book in advance ? Did it take long ? Any tips from your trip ???? Answer in a few days if you can be arsed !!! Ta !
  4. double post - friggin hand held tablet and fat thumbs
  5. Can't beat Gaucho imho. Expensive but worth it for a special occassion. Try to get a booth. Went to the Living Room recently and it was crap. Grill On The Alley is ok. Nicks is great and the one on the roundabout is good. I like San Marino near Bellend aswell.

    pastels all the rage
  12. Going on Friday for a 40th. Can anyone recommend a good steakhouse and are there any particular clubs/bars for decent dance music ? Not been for 20 years and wonder how much it's changed. I remember Beachcomber and Lennons Bar, dodgy vodka and that sewer smell you only get in them foreign countries but not a lot else. Can't wait !
  13. Gorgeous with proper blow job lips

Bought some Dockers chinos in beige and blue about 10 years ago. Just got ridiculed for looking like a 1980's throwback and called a twat. Still got them but doubt they'll fit. Was taking the piss out of Toms at work the other day and got called an unfashionable old twat but I'd ratheer wear sandles with socks than wear those things. Miami Vice jackets next.
  15. Hi folks. I was chatting to someone the other day who said there's a chap from Breightmet who's moved to Benidorm and does airport transfers. Has anyone got his details ? Otherwise anyone know how much taxis cost for 4 & 7 people ? Cheers.
  16. I'm in no way as much of a hard core fan as most on this site but have followed BWFC since I was a kid - I held season tickets for many years, have sponsored the team on several occassions and also had pitch side advertising for many years. I'm not qualified to be an expert on all football matters and through work & family committments haven't seen many games under Megson. I suppose I'm what you'd call a casual fan and have to rely on the interpretations of many others, so some may tell me to "f**k off what do you know" about my opinions but here we go. Which is right, backing a manager to the hilt through his whole contract irrespective of your opinions of his tactics, results, success in the transfer window, provision of entertainment, etc., or letting your views known as a "supporter" prepared to spend your hard earned coin & spare time travelling the country following your team ? I'd be interested to know what people on this forum think. I've personally never liked his appointment and think the board have once again done things on the cheap and are simply looking to just stay in the prem to survive and never really achieve (financially that may be the best thing to do but thats another story). He arrived here amidst a wave of protest and was never given a chance by some from day 1, but Megsons our manager and so we should support him (albeit up to a point and I think he's done quite well all things considered). However, as manager you've got to take responsibility for the results and his outburst hasn't done him any favours imho. He gets paid a lot of money to organise a lot of very well paid players and implying throwing away a 2-0 lead is in some part down to the fans is a joke. I'm a cynical bastard and I think he's decided to go but he'd be daft to quit such a (presumably) lucrative contract so I think he's now engineering a way of his position becoming untenable and leaving "by mutual consent" for a bloody big payoff.
  17. I thought it was the pressure of a relegation battle which made him leave Wigan ?
  18. Is it the manager? - lack of experience, possible poor tactics, possible lack of respect from players (would you take a bollocing from him or just shrug it off ? but everyone needs time to settle in and 6 games, even 10 games ain't long enough. The 1st team coach? - possibly but a settling in period is needed whilst everyone gets used to each other and the changes to some of the playing styles The players? - some of them don't seem to have it at this level - perhaps some need time, but at the end of the day money usually buys quality and we ain't exactly splashed the cash. The chairman? - the boys at the top choose the manager and set the budgets. IMO they've been taking the pi55 for years and have got away with it and I think we've over-achieved for the last 3 seasons and finally their lack of financial committment has caught up with them The fans? - at the end of the day people like to moan but how long can you take the pi55 before the fans have had enough ?
  19. My name gave it away
  20. Lose your manager so get someone with no managerial experience who you can pay a comparative pittance (I assume) for his "big opportunity". Let your best defenders walk out, your midfield get slower, & give your manager fu<k all to spend to replace/improve the squad. Meanwhile have the highest income you've ever had but don't use it - the clubs run by cvnts. Anyone in business knows you have to invest year after year to keep going and they've just taken the pi55. The results on the field are sh1te and Gartside & Davies have their scapegoat in place and the poor sods not even had time had time to settle in. At the end of the day the tw@ts at the top still make a fortune but wreck the club in the meantime - I hope they sell it to someone whos interested in football. Poor LSL - hes had no chance from day 1 and if he does go which established top flight managers going to take the job with no money to spend ?
