If not too much of a personal question, what sort of pay rises are people getting at the moment to help with rising living costs ? Spoken to a few people and one got 1.75%, another 2%, but one got 4% at beginning of year with another rise due in 6 months if company can afford it.

Saturday 7 am ish flight

Flew out a week last Saturday. 2 Ryanair luggage check in staff to service 6 flights. Must have been over a thousand people queuing. Managed to blag my way half way up the queue - thought it was going to kick off with the grey jogger and sliders brigade as a bunch of us queue jumped. Then security was a nightmare - I’d reluctantly bought fast track (wrong on so many levels that you should be able to pay to speed up the inadequate service) but it was closed anyway. They then closed the security section and split our group so the others had to go to a different one in a different terminal and run through the airport for the final call. Ended up one of our party arguing with the staff at the gate to delay the flight so the others could catch up and all just about made it. 3 hours from getting dropped off to reaching the plane. Flew back a week later - 10 minutes through passport control and 10 minutes for bags so hopefully things getting better. Still a shithole though and poor bastards who work there.

I guess if the naysayers have been to Benidorm they’ve just been to the “English Strip” in the new town. Try the “Old Town” and I’ll platt shit if you maintain your view. The beauty of Benidorm is that it has something for everyone. Most who criticise haven’t even been.

If you’re ever in Benidorm try “Ian’s”. My favourite restaurant. Of course most of you are too posh for there !
