Had some Himalayan salt dried fillet a while ago (full fillet again). Fantastic but very easy to overcook.

Butchers fillet does seem expensive these days and a little bland.

Very little waste when using off cuts for an indulgent casserole. Used pampas plains also for the Argentinian cuts which are very good but expensive although a mate used to organise massive orders between a few of us to get the price down. About £2k between us but about £30 a fillet a few years ago but the pound weakening against the dollar forced prices up. Found costco to be good but lockdown made it awkward. I’ll try the one mentioned next time.

Do u buy the full slab for of fillet online ? I’m generally buying from Tom hixson and usually on offer for £50 for around 1.8-2 kilo.

Had some good times in lostock as a teen. My mates parents were rich and had a proper swimming pool in the garden. We used to have pool parties and invite the local older girls round so we could check out their tits in bikinis. Happy days.

I moved to lostock as a kid and did the same tunnel. In the woods on the left from memory on the other side of the Beaumont road bridge from the lostock arms. Think we called it ravens wood. Was shitting it and only did it once. Was about 12.

There will be the argument to make them suffer for the rest of their years but I think just ending them is closure.

Not meaning to inflame, but the little snippets I’ve read over the years is that they’ve not exactly been model citizens since. Some are just pure evil.

That if someone does something so bad and it’s them beyond all doubt and not exceptional circumstances just end them. There would have to be one hell of a system in place to ensure the lead up to that outcome isnt flawed.

A few things pop into my head with all this. Absolute tragedy this had happened. A twisted evil part of life that has always existed and always will. I hate to say it but there will always be sick fuckers and then those that turn their twisted thoughts into actions and prey on the vulnerable and it will never change. We may be able to reduce the impact of the sick fucks/bullies etc with stricter sentencing and a stronger police presence (which I support - if people want to behave like evil animals in our society I’d string the fuckers up regardless of whatever mental health needs issues/poor me/religious calling they may claim) but then there will be cries of police state and human rights from some quarters. Members of the public could take matters into their own hands like patrolling the streets but then unregulated & untrained vigilante groups will spring up which brings its own problems. I have 3 suggestions: Both men and women need to be more street wise and aware. IMHO it’s naive to think we can rid the streets of evil completely so as well as trying to make society safer I’d support a campaign for situational awareness to make people more alert and be taught to avoid getting into avoidable danger where possible in the first place and then how to try to get out of it (and I’m not implying at all that the poor lass put herself in this position - please no-one twist this). Secondly I think there needs to be a toughening up generally and less tolerance of those that choose not to slot in with the system which, aside from people whinging, (which is modern human nature), and obviously the current times where steps had been needed for the greater good, seems to suit the vast majority of the population - we live in a wonderful “free” society with a very laid back regulatory framework and enforcement but it needs the masses to be on board and support strong treatment of those that won’t fit in. But its an impossible job when there isn’t respect for the authorities and a chunk of society thinks the rules don’t apply to them when it suits, and particularly aren’t prepared to accept the consequences of their actions. This means be less tolerant of the bullies/sick fucks etc but within a framework of consistent guidelines which are respected by all. If the rules are too strong they get voted out in the end in our democracy. Finally bring back the death penalty in certain circumstances for when there is absolutely no doubt of guilt. I do agree with protest and it’s usually allowed but these aren’t normal circumstances and it was made pretty damn clear that the authorities were asking for people not to gather/have their vigil en masse and throw the rules out of the window at such a critical point in our country’s exit from lockdown. Then they had to contend with that !!! “Fuck the police” and “ACAB” - seriously wtf ? And for people to now be crying for the resignation of the chief. Madness. I’d be interested to see the lead up to the arrest of the women being featured so much - I’d be surprised if they were just stood there quietly minding their own business. Looked to me like very controlled gentle force used. If proved wrong I will eat humble pie.

Similar thing happened to a mate of mine a few years ago. Really nice mannered quiet guy sticking up for the chav lass then got the shit kicked out of him by her boyfriend. Hospital and police involved and she wouldn’t even acknowledge it happened.
