How many coaches has he had throughout his career? There's no coach that is going to improve him anymore now. He's 24 not 17. He is the player he is. Like him or otherwise. If he's the one that's attracting interest and the fee is good, then sell him.
-
Why would we not get money for him? He's under contract. He's not leaving for free. Might go on loan, but he ain't leaving on a free.
-
Craig is still a prick though. Pretending Mcatee and Carlos don't exist.
-
Conway was by all accounts very good at Crewe last season. Won all the player of the years etc. he's gonna at least get the opportunity to be in the squad and show what he can do.
-
Been told he's training with the B team.
-
6ft is too small for a keeper. Smaller arms too. Just off watching him last season, he never came off his line for corners or crosses. If your gonna be smaller you need to be ridiculously athletic , and he isn't.
-
Kyle Bartley I think we got a decent fee for off arsenal. Also can't forget the Bolton Baresi , Nat Phillips.
-
Good decision. Wasn't good enough and was too small.

I meant in more a sense of fitness wise. I accept he's not particularly quick and he definitely lacks a burst of pace. But I do think his ability to cross the ball would be an asset as an LB. Don't think I'd want him as the first choice LB, but I do think it suits him
-
I actually think GT would make a good LB. He's athletic , good left foot, combative and isn't small. I think he might suit it in the same way nunes at city has since playing there. He'd have more chance to use that left foot to deliver balls into the box. Now we have a proper target to get on the end of them.

It's unusual for wingers to have one side they play on now. If schon played on the left consistently he would be too easy to defend. He's no right foot so full backs would just force him down the line. He doesn't have the pace Desmond has. I almost feel schon has to play on the right to be able to cut inside on his left foot.

He needs to be able to beat a man on occasion and be able to consistently put good balls in to the box. There's no point signing Dalby if we aren't going to provide the service he needs. He doesn't need to be a world beater but he needs to be able to do these things in order to be playing regularly. He hasn't IMO shown that he has what it takes to be up to standard. I also think this applies to Desmond. He is good at beating a man but he hasn't proven he can consistently get good balls in the box. IMO we need at the very least another winger but I would like two more.

I can see a Cameron Jerome esq signing for another big lad on the bench. Some one with experience. We were linked with Steven fletcher at one point. Something along those lines. Free transfer, experience etc.

Enjoyed that game last night. England have a really good set up now and are producing some top players. You think who wasn't there who could of been aswell (Jobe, Delap) etc. Harvey Elliott is too good to be sat on the bench all season. Thought Cresswell at the back was excellent. Can't see him being at Toulouse much longer. Proper centre half. I thought that tall German for them was really good. 6 ft 6, reminded me of fellaini a lot. Will be at Bayern very soon judging by reports. Seems to be a lot of English players playing abroad at the moment.

Randall wasnt a panic buy. We had been after him the previous window.

It's not that hard a start. Stockport ain't gonna be the same team this year. Don't see Reading and Lincoln at home as particularly difficult. Barnsley away might be tough but I think we need to be positive.

Hes a proven goalscorer at league 2 and below. Hes not a proven goalscorer at league 1 level.

He's a forward. You can't really get more advanced than a forward. He's a forward that likes to drop a bit deeper but he's not a midfielder. The problem was when you play Collins and mcatee together,Collins drifts out wide and mcatee drops deeper. So nobody was the focal point. Too many times there wasn't enough bodies in the box. They weren't suited to play together. At least with Dalby , he will be the focal point and Mcatee or whoever can play off him.

Has it been announced which option won yet?

Thought Simons was meant to be a bit of a bastard.

Feel like it's gonna be 4231 going down the Wycombe / Wrexham route of being more solid. Too early to do the best 11 yet. Give it 6 weeks.

It's a load of bollocks but I'll watch bits of it. I think some of the games might be entertaining. The South American clubs will take it seriously. I thought there would be little football this summer but with this , Euro 21s and women's Euros there actually is a fair bit.
-
Ok fair enough. But what annoys me is some players get the "trying hard pass" for effort and others don't. Schon being a very good example of someone with very little end product, but because he jumps in the crowd after someone has scored, or runs around a bit, people can overlook the fact that he's weak as piss , small and can't kick with his right foot and barely does anything of note. Last seasons Thomasson was nowhere near the standard of the previous year, but he gets the trying hard pass too. I'm not interested in what happens off the field. I don't care how low you wear your socks. Mcatee ain't a number 9. He's better playing off someone. 12/13 league goals is good return given how last season went. With a proper striker to play off, him/Randall/Collins (whoever is here/plays) will be better off.

The Crawley away one aswell was top class. Just don't get the mcatee hate.
