    Qpr Away

Get Hammersmith and City line to Wood Lane - opposite what was Television Centre. Takes about 25 mins and it's a 5 minute walk from there. Or 20 mins if you turn left and go via Shepherds Bush Green (where there are plenty of pubs).
  2. If we can get someone scoring - Madine, Clayton, Thomas (?), whoever - then I think we have enough to aim for the play-offs this season. It's a big if, I know. But we've a cracking keeper, two centre halves who look like they can defend and play football, a reborn left back, a steady Eddie at right back with cover for both, plenty of midfielders good enough at this level, options on the wing...we just need some goals. Starting on Saturday. Burnley have shown what a run of wins can do...time we went on one...no back to back wins since December is a stat we need to put right.
  3. What great memories that video brings back. We've seen some shit, but we've also experienced some massive highs following this club of ours.
  4. It's much slower from Vic - about an hour.
  5. I reckon somebody is in for a hammering from us...SW could be that team...
  6. Replacement coach is pretty quick - 30 mins - and then same again from Picc on the train...so doable.
  7. Surprised there's not more interest in this. Like you say though, another win tomorrow and folk might think again. Is it 2k max we're getting?
  8. If you think he's terrible you've obviously not watched the Wanderers for many years. I can understand folk getting irate at someone like Trotter, who just doesn't seem arsed and is responsible for countless goals by not doing basic things like tracking his man...but Feeney? Do me a favour. Works his bollocks off every game, always looks to take on his man. Alright, his delivery can be hit and miss, but he cost fuck all, he's not fucking Ronaldo. A team of players with Feeney's attitude and we'd still be in the Prem. There are plenty of things to get angry about, Liam Feeney isn't one of them.
  9. Really? Did he predict we were signing Prince? Or Derik? Fair play if he did. He just seems to link us to every fucker who's out there from quotes on here.
  10. Why is anyone still mentioning shit Nixon says? Has he ever been right about anything?
  11. Oh, and the crowd was 5,000 - admission 3d and 6d...and for those who thought "in for a penny, I'll get a season ticket, I reckon this game might just catch on" the cost was 5 shillings.* * thanks to Simon Marland
  12. Those on horseback still got here quicker than it took their great great great grandsons on the replacement bus service last month.
  13. We were 3 up inside 15 minutes. Oh for a start like that on Saturday...without the defensive collapse bit.
  14. Yeah, that's right, 25 years of having a season ticket - including in Div 4 and more than 10 of those living in London - definitely not a fan.
  15. Anyone who thinks otherwise isn't a Wanderers fan. Fucking fact.
  16. It's fucking true. How hard can it be? It never changes - dates and times wrong, fixtures still up that have long gone. Apart from being infuriating and deterring potential fans from actually buying tickets it makes us look fucking tinpot.
  17. Why don't we save ourselves some money and just shut down the official website. It's fucking shite and an actual impediment to buying tickets.
  18. We've won it - well done lads! Let's get Thomas and/or Woolery on the bench for the next game.
  19. A few other things of note whilst I was going through them: Net cash spend on players 2004-2014 = £60m Net cash spend on players 2007-2014 = £54m Net cash spend on players 2013-2014 = £13m (proves that we went shit or bust at bouncing straight back up) Does it not strike people as odd that £13m of a £60m net spend between 2004 and 2014, according to the club's figures, came in the final one of those years? When we made, relatively speaking, fuck all signings? So 2004-2013 (when we signed, among others, Speed, Anelka, Elmander, Muamba, Cahill, Steinsson, Taylor, Knight, Sean Davis, Ricketts, Lee) we spent £47m...then, in just ONE year - when we were cutting right back and begging and borrowing players, we spent £13m?!
  20. I still think both hold true actually - and not because I'm some crazy conspiracy theorist, or I just like disagreeing with people for the sake of it. Eddie's figures, far from proving all is absolutely fine, raise lots more questions for me - as I've tried to set out. On top of my earlier questions about why we, uniquely amongst clubs who've not done a Chelsea, City or QPR (ie spent millions and millions on multiple players), find ourselves £180m in debt. You disagree, and that's fine, this is a forum for people to share their views about the Wanderers - however much you might disagree with those views. But enough already. NLSWA, COYW, Supera Moras.
  21. My agenda is BWFC. Why the fuck would I be wasting my time on here otherwise? ????
  22. If £10m was sanctioned on that lot then it proves my point that PG shouldn't be anywhere near the BWFC accounts. But I will stop, Spider. You've got your views on the people in charge, I've got mine. Let's leave it there. And on to 3 points at Ewood.
  23. But it's not spending for a total year - those figures say cash outflow on purchase of players. PURCHASE of players. Except we haven't actually purchased any (bar Spearing). And those we have brought in for fuck all fee have been paid considerably less than those they've replaced. Nobody has answered that basic and glaring inconsistency. Let alone come up with a figure approaching £10m, or £16m - choose any figure you like - Phil has. I'm sorry if it feels a bit like that time you found out Father Christmas doesn't exist, but delusion and denial isn't going to get us out of this mess. What is is another question entirely.
