  1. You've had several opportunities to make change, please make it now, a transfer window is coming, a lot of these players are not good enough, we've come so close to promotion but we are declining each and every month, there is brief respite because we have some talent, but the squad as a whole is mentally weak and not good enough consistently, this 2024 as proved it, bottling promotion proved it, Wembley proved it. We've lost 2-0 before and will do again with loads of managers in the future, but this can't continue, unless of course there is a reason we can't, we played well vs Huddersfield in mid-week and whilst a crappy cup probably will have no bearing on a league match, you'd think our players would come out positive and yet all they did 1st half was defend, give balls away and foul, what have they been doing since Huddersfield in tactics and training that made them play like that vs bottom of the league, please don't look at this like 1 loss in 4, because 1 was a last minutes winner, the other two were 4 points vs teams with 10 men.
  2. One of the worst performances I've seen from any side in that half, foul after foul, giveaway after giveaway, defending for the majority vs a team near the bottom, the amount of times the referee has had to stop the game as been more than what we've had the ball near their goal/box, utterly pathetic.
  3. He's very good at keeping the ball close to his feet when he escapes players and gets past them with his little feints and turns, he reminds me of Mark Davies but more of a ball winner than a scorer/creator, he has errors in him, 1st half he lost it and was kinda last man and for a second I was hoping the ref wouldn't show him a red.
  4. This as been a good performance with plenty of chances to have scored more, took about 25 mins or so 1st half to get going but we have been dominant.
  5. Massive game tonight and at weekend, really hope Sporting carry on missing Amorim and we pick a strong side and take some confidence into Wigan game, wouldn't want to pick a weakened side and then go onto lose to Wigan, that would suck, imagine if Wigan had 10 men also and we lost, sure we'll be fine like.
  6. Vic missed 2 great chances before his goal and if you look at it again from behind the goal it looks like it's going to hit the post/just wide before the deflection of the defender, so he'll probably still get it, but looks an og.
  7. Started very well, should have been ahead but then it got pretty bad, would we have come back v 11 men?, unlikely going off how the game was, but you never can know. fair play to 'em for not repeating last week and beating 10 men and actually going for more goals, doesn't make up for those dropped points, but our subs did well, Tutu deserves a start.
  8. Didledee replied to desperado's topic in Terrace Talk
Our form from Jan 24- to Wembley was outside the playoffs, then that 0 shot on target Wembley happened and since then we've gone even further in decline, if we can't beat an u21 side, if we lose to a League 2 side, if we concede and can't beat 10 men along with getting thrashed home and away 4-0 and 5-0, then there is no given that we'll even scrape a playoff/top half. Just over a year ago we won 7-0 and Evatt was getting MOTM, a year forward and it's not even close to then now, the thing we have is that we have talented players, so we'll pick up more points than we lose, but it won't be enough for our targets if things don't change, perhaps like his first season it'll take a brilliant January transfer window to sort it out, because it looks like he's not going to get sacked, because surely that would have happened by now.
  9. Terrible, losing a lead against 10 men is unacceptable, leaving a fre man for a header and then almost concede a second with another free header when you have a spare man, suggests to me in that area and many others they are rather poorly coached and/or have poor awareness/marking etc 2 points threw away against 10 men, 10 men who are bottom 3, it should be the end of IE, but that's clearly not gonna happen.
  10. Look good, feel good, play good .. okay we'll just have to rely on talent then 😁🤞
  11. If Bellingham scored that first goal, we're talking one of the greatest ever assists from kane.
  12. it just continues, just a case of how long he's aloud to continue now, a terrible 2024 with 1, 2 or 3 game mini revivals between another terrible result, knocked out of both cups, lost to league 2, drew vs an u21 team, lost 5-0 to a team that lost 5-0, it's not ending, there's a game on Tuesday but then we have a break, give a new manager at least a week or so and then have his first game against an out of form Blackpool at home. If it's not gonna change now, then it's obvs being allowed to continue and IE is un-sackable.
  13. No chance of winning the thing and whilst every team wants to win every game so this is another failure this season, it might be for the best, the anticipation of the draws and a bit of progression money is not there but team rest and less of a schedule seems like the better thing and that's without trying to sound/think negatively like Megson in that regard.
  14. Fliki Flaka and the high line makes for great games and will cost Barca points in some games, 1st half Madrid had their moments, but 2nd half even with Mbappe's misses, Barca destroyed them, 4-0 and Lewa missed two sitters also.
  15. That would have been a cruel draw so well played and what drama at the end, hopefully a catalyst, it's got to be...
  16. 0 - something, it'll take something we hardly see v a good team, drew vs them last season with 10 men for the majority, but we are miles worse now, wonder if we'll see a scared lineup with Arfield starting again, 'cos he offers absolutely nothing.
  17. Dunno why VAR asked the ref to lokk at the screen for that late Stones winner, Bernardo wasn't infront of the keeper who had a clear view.
  18. That last minute clearance from Santos could easily have ended up being a goal, rather from him missing it or it deflecting off his shin or summat past keeper. Burton won't be happy with our first and Randall took his goal very well, as for their goal, abysmal really.
  19. Butthurt people moaning 'cos he's from a nationality that was at war with this country ages ago or that he might not sing a song about a mythical made up sky thing saving the King from whatever. He's the best available, we'd all have taken Pep, it was fine when the women won a trophy with a foreign manager and cricket fans love Bazball, this is an exciting appointment, which realistically even if we play better football will still be tough to win a trophy given the likes of Argentina and Spain etc.
  20. Defo this, looking forward to see how this goes.
  21. or win at Wembley and not have to play in this comp
  22. lost to Exeter, smashed by Huddersfield, needed pens v Mansfield, drew to Shrewsbury, and now probably our most embarrassing result for some time, Fleetwood will fancy themselves.
  23. How can someone with that terrible technique be our first taker, 1-1 v an u21, another low.
  24. Harsh scoreline I thought on Reading who played quite well and caused us problems consistently, 1-1 in open play but much better from Bolton, Dempsey could have had an hat trick himself at the end with those numerous chances we had.
