  1. Never trust a man who doesn't drink.
  2. Kevin Davies is still effective however due to his age and relative fitness he struggles to sustain it through the 90. For me instead of starting Davies then looking for substitutes later in the game to change the game it should be the other way round. Davies would be suberb in the last 20 mins playing on tiring centre backs flicking on balls to create chances. Davies can do what I've already said from the start but when it comes to the latter stages of a game his fitness let's himself down when we need him to step up and create chances for others such as today. Please don't see me as a SKD baiter because I'm really not but every dog has its day and I believe SKD isn't the force he once was if we want to progress, certainly in a team with the Coyle mentality.
  3. I really like Diddles' third effort, simple and classy. The first one however is a blatant copy of the Puma template that Young Boys Bern use. You shall be getting lines ''I promise not to pass off somebody else"s work as my own'' 200 times!!.
  4. The rendition of 10 German bombers in JJ Moons after to game made me so proud in a kind of whatever happens we will always be proud to be associated with our great club. The conga line whilst chanting ''were all going to Blackpool'' made me chuckle. I've literally just began to sober up this morning after 4 days on the pop so the result has hit me now but hats off the the majority of Bolton fans who took the result extremely gracefully, don't imagine it would have been the same had we won 5-0 though. If its not White its not Right!!.
  5. I have to agree with your twisted logic there Crawley.
  6. This is correct as I was working the train we were on. Stoke are a step ahead though as Pulis had a bad lads outing at Wembley last week.
  7. Munich in the Uefa cup?
  8. Vic-Vic-Vic-Victorious!!!. Ive literally been online since 9am attempting to book 32 seats and I have just finished now. I'm off for a Radox!!
  9. How many tickets have you added the details for already? and how many do you need to buy?. Ive done 20, I wonder if this is normal for people bulk buying- annoying if it is.
  10. No Balls, were about two thirds down on the bar but I expect to wait when the bar reaches the end aswell. How are you getting on considering you have been waiting an hour? Im marooned here for the time being.
  11. Were buying 30 tickets, after adding the details for the first 20 we have been put back in the queue!!. We better not have lost what weve done- i'm getting nervous now.
  12. I see your Xisco and raise you an Albert Luque
  13. What annoys me so much is the Munich twats saying ''we have x, y and z out and our squad is stretched to the limit''. As bad as they seem to think their current squad is they still are able to bring in more than capable replacements. Due to our size of squad (and arguaby quality outside the first team and bench) we only need a few injuries to be ''stretched to the limit'' as the national press love to call it. For me Holden, even when having a below par game is as important to the team as Parker is to West Spam, Were simply not the same side without him. The results without him in the team are the proof of the pudding. Nevertheless Mark Davies has all the qualities to come in and succeed im just a little nervious of his relationship with Muamba, they never seemed to have gelled for me. Time to prove me wrong.
  14. Thanks for the offer of tickets guys but I've already sorted my arrangements by other means. I work for Virgin Trains and had a meeting with the man who is co-ordinating the weekends pricing/logistical arrangements last thursday. He told me basically what I had written previously that advamce purchases were now unavailable for the weekend in question and that Saver tickets were the cheapest option. In typical Railway industry style this doesn't appear to have been made uniform across the country from whichever ticket office/website you use. Apologies for the misinformation as it appears what I was told, in an official capacity is nothing short of bollocks. That said, I can confirm with a grudge that British Transport Police have banned Alcohol on all trains to and from Manchester and Wigan for the 16th and 17th.
  15. I was sure I had accidentally tuned in to deal or no deal with the Banker replaced by a Wanker. As many pundits have said this was as close a game as there has been at OT all season yet once again the BBC do us an injustice. No wonder you still get deluded armchair fans of rival teams calling us a rip and run long ball team as to be fair MOTD only seem to feature us when were defending. I found a extended highlights package from Setanta Ireland Online and it showed a totally different game.
  16. Just a little heads up regarding Virgin Train tickets. On the weekend of 16th and 17th for the Semi finals they have now stopped all value advance (ie cheap tickets) due to demand. The cheapest tickets are now the Saver tickets at around 65 nicker. No alcohol will be permitted on board any Virgin trains on the days in question. The ruling on alcohol has made me make different arrangements, even though I get free train travel!.
  17. Surely we want to hear the commentator be objective in what is happening in the game. Why do we need to hear a so-called expert waxing lyrical about every half decent pass then hardly commenting at all on the apposing side- what's the point? Its just irritating. I have never seen anything like the way he was last night which is what prompted me into posting this morning. Granted I'm probably more irritated because it was the red scum but would you want that munich twat from your local banging on and on about jhow fantastic every player os in your living room, because that's what it was like. You commentate the GAME Ray, not a TEAM!. Sub-rant over.
  18. Is it me or has anybody else ever heard a more biased commentator towards the Munich's as Ray Wilkins on Sky's coverage of the United- Marsailles match? He practically spaffed himself every time Rooney got the ball, droaned on how wonderful every Munich player was and defended every poor ball with a ludicrous explaination. I genuinely had to change to the Inter v Bayern game following United's second goal as he spouting such biased tripe. I switched back to the United game for the last ten minutes to see what the score was to find Marsailles had dragged one back, Wilkins of course was now silent as a mouse!, at least it was bareable to watch again. Shandy drinkin munich cnut! Did anybody else notice any of the above?
  19. This is what I was afraid of.
  20. What are our chances of gettng these two permanently in reality? If this did happen alongside the 10mil It would be a good deal imo but I would rather avoid loaning these players ideally. All loaning these players does is improve arsenal and does nothing for us long term as they are unlikely to stay with us meaning even if they do improve us were going to have to look to replace them in summer anyway. I really don't want us to become arsenals development centre when were not really benefiting in real terms. We have collateral with cahill and we need this deal to be beneficial for the club, far too often in the past we've let players go for far less than their worth to us and so should be more hardline with our demands. I very much would like ramsey and vela here though but only on a permanent basis.
  21. There will never be another. May the great man rest in peace.
  22. I'm going to have to go for robinson. Despite him being a terrier of a full back he appears to have really improved on timing his tackles this season which is benefiting himself and the team, the fact its nearly new year and he hasn't been suspended is evidence of this. What I admire about robbo is that he appears to know his limitations and doesn't try to play risky passes and very rarely gives the ball away. I'm sure I read somewhere that he had the highest pass completion rate in the side which however simple the balls he plays are is something to be admired. Stuie holden of course runs a very close second and had established himself as the heartbeat of the team. The only reason I've gone for robbo over holden is that he had surpassed my expections in such a way I'm dreading us losing him to injury. Praise should also go to zat knight and elmander who have also been superb.
  23. Didn't gilbert alvarez come for a trial?
  24. That's what I'm saying that I believe we really should show some real backbone with young promising players such as holden and cahill to make the deal more beneficial for us where possible. On the whole I do feel we have let our major assets leave a little on the cheap side in the past.
  25. The ecuadorian lad jaime ayovi has signed for toluca in mexico so he's out the running. The lad dedic is already 26 and for me his track record doesn't suggest he would flourish in the premier league. Tarian, Elmander's record before we joined us was reasonable it was megson that drained his confidence and coyle has helped him refind it. This lad doesn't have the goalscoring record to begin with. For me I would rather put some cash towards a centre half and or left back, think what were left with if robbo gets injured, does jls even attend training anymore and marcos alonso is far from ready for 1st team football from what I've seen.
