  1. Yes, depending on who was brought in. If we had to go with what we have, minus Pratley, you're damned right we'd be a weaker team.
  2. I've not always lived over here, smart arse.
  3. Hahaha. I assume you highlighted my post before you replied?
  4. People see him as an attacking midfielder, completely discounting the fact that he does get up and down the field fairly well. When he plays, I often see him tracking back, being the last midfielder before the defensive line. Cue the smart arse dickheads saying how I only watch highlights and I don't go to the game, perhaps using the word "skew" or "do you see that on the radio?" etc.
  5. We will never get 4m for Mark Davies. Be lucky to get 1m to be honest - he's been out far too much over the past couple of seasons. At 1m, I'd keep him and hope he hits some form and keeps injury free, selling him next summer.
  6. I was most impressed by "even if the money situation doesn't improve we have a list of 3-4 lads who we are close to agreeing with" (or something like that).
  7. Not sure if this has been posted yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oGEWKdvwDU Very positive. I could listen to this chap all day.
  8. Well no. Liam Feeney was already here and playing regularly in the side that was rock bottom. Eidur and Heskey came in around the same time that the club started moving up the league - not saying it's down to them, but then again we don't know what kind of effect they have in the changing room.
  9. Looks a bit soft-centred to me.
  10. So without them we might not have got enough points to stay up? Saved us sounds a bit right then. Personally though, I consider ALF and Amos to have been more saviours this past season.
  11. I lived in Leicester at the time when Ricketts was at Bolton (the 2-1 at Old Trafford being a notable game in that period). My roommate was from the midlands and actually went to school with Ricketts. He said as long as he can keep his head level he was a fantastic player. I guess that was proven when he couldn't keep his head level after his 15 minutes of fame.
  12. Gerrard is both a blessing and a curse for the side he plays in (England, or Liverpool). When he plays well, the team plays well. When he doesn't, the team suffers. He's the most apt epitome of a modern "Roy of the Rovers". Everything the team does goes through him, which in turn makes him look like a world-beater. As we've all seen though, he can bottle big games which (IMO) has stopped him being one of the world's greatest ever midfielders. I actually rate Fat Frank over Gerrard any day of the week.
  13. Ha! No. I just thought it might be quite nice for us all to have a look back and see that we're not just a raft of shite and that we do have some talented lads involved.
  14. So I've not seen this posted yet. If we ever needed more confirmation that we need to sign Pratley up and keep our younger talent fit. Some decent efforts in here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKcJCb0qFR4
  15. I don't care where we sign players from as long as they play their hearts out for the white shirt.
  16. But how good does he look on Youtube?
  17. I got the impression that he plays well as long as he's getting a run of games and the team is generally doing well. Doesn't help when he becomes the scapegoat and gets shit from his own fans when things aren't going so well. But yeah, I'd definitely give him a run at centre back if his contract isn't too expensive - which I feel it might be. If it's too high I can see him being shown the door at the first opportunity.
  18. Hahaha, good result Baggies
  19. Well we have. It's just that a lot of our fans don't seem to have the patience to deal with the first level of rebuilding (read Feeney, Trotter, Dervite et al.).
  20. And if some on here are to be believed, all the teams above us in the Championship are smaller teams than we are. We should piss it then...
  21. ... for the yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, and black.
  22. Well that's me skipping this one on the radio too. 4.15am is way too early!
  23. SO GOOD!!!
