Toughest Wanderers Players? (Last 20 Years)

Looking over the "wee push" video, no doubt that Big John wasn't shy with having it out on the pitch.

Who else would say was no nonsense player as such.

Stig Tofting?

SKD?

Gerry Taggart?

Who and why... discuss.

True! giving Collymore a beat down and breaking sunbeds jaw... he's in!

Andy Todd.

Had the cold, dead eyes of an absolute nutter.

There's 2 ways of looking at this hard as in a fight outside of the rules of the game and those hard within the rules of the game I'm not that interested in hard outside the rules but those who were tough uncompromising physical durable and within the rules and my vote goes to the one and only Gudni Bergson also a top fella and top wanderer one of my top all time great Wanderers.

Paul Warhurst could handle himself when fit. I wouldn't mess with Bruno N'Gotty either or Djibrill Diawara come to think of it

Kevin Davies by a country mile. Hard as a coffin nail. Terrorised defenders at the very highest level season after season.

Thierry Henry and Piqué have both mentioned him in the past.

Ask Mathew Upson this question and I reckon he will give the same answer. Im sure he had to have psychiatric treatment after what our Kev did to him.

Chris Fairclough had a reputation amongst his peers for being one not to fuck with.

Danny Shittu, the man looks like he's eaten a fridge.

The team we had with mad Ged,Sheridan and Pollock weren't to mess with

Arnar Gunnlaugsson

Happy to take 3 or 4 big lads on at once, allegedly.

Reckon a few opposition players shit it when they shook hands with Abdul Faye pre match.

Throw SJM and that was a tidy crew.

 This for me

Correct

Was the hardest supposedly

Fairclough, Tofting or Faye for me.

SKD was good at bullying defenders on the edge of the rules. But those three would be more useful in a scrap.

A few weeks ago Martin Keown refered to a player (and I'm fucked if I can remember who), as the new Kevin Davies.

Mixu is a bit of a big lad, probably too much of a gent to be in this category though

A mutual friend of Miami's and mine bought a house on Greenmount Lane that Faye had been renting previously. There was a dispute over a satellite dish fixed to the house and Faye turned up with 2 of his brothers to take it. I won't go into details on here but suffice to say the dish is still on the house.

Chris Eagles?

Gerry McElhinney was a title winning boxer & a boxer always beats a fighter.
