Funny how we can get doom and gloom from a nothing article. The BBC will have been interviewing NL and asking him how many players are on his radar and then embellished the story around his responses. Let's look at the quotes: "It's a big challenge because we don't really know where we are in terms of what we have budget-wise," "We are looking at trying to get value for money, it's difficult." "But we're hoping that we're going to be down the line with one or two deals in the next week or so, that will enhance the squad." The reason he doesn't know, budget-wise, is because he hasn't shifted all the players he wants to shift out yet. If he doesn't get rid, he can't bring new blood in. Nothing to see here, move along.

I've just been trying to figure it out from the training videos on YouTube, plus Ream who's with the US National team. There's a bunch of players I don't recognise though, so that hardly helps. I think there's a fair few academy grads out there with the first team.

So I've been watching all the training footage from Austria (they put a video up each day) and I actually wouldn't mind seeing Spearing back in the team, and if he is he would be the natural captain. Boy looks like he's fighting for his place.
