Would possibly have liked to see Morley or Erhahon start with Simmons and Sheehan to be a bit more solid but understand the decision as both put in a lot of work on Wednesday. Quick turn around Wednesday to Saturday. Hopefully Simmons deals with Connell. Hoping both wingers should be confident after scoring Wednesday but do feel they will be targeted for rough treatment early on by Barnsley. A strong referee for once would be nice.

Seems unlikely, haven’t we just made him one of the vice captains, doubt SS will have done that knowing there is a chance he’s off.

I’ve also noticed SS never seems to praise Conway and everything seems critical. Maybe it’s the man management style he thinks will work with Max to get him to improve, but it seems like he wouldn’t be in favour to play if he had more options. I actually think Conway looks a cracking prospect and is doing really well, hope he carries on and becomes a permanent first team member.

Conway did really well and he won’t come up against much tougher physical players like Offiah and Small every week. Last seasons loan looks like it’s really benefitted him.
