  1. Yep. I got to see my team play at Wembley. It might be a long time until I get that chance again.
  2. Click Here Anyone else reminded of that Little Britain politician character who stands at his gate with his wife and kids constantly denying he is a gay. Anyway, tbf, kids look to be more of this guy's bag.
  3. I disagree. I'd have put one either side of "honestly".
  4. Nah, they'll get dicked if they come up against Barca. The worrying thing will be if they end up facing Real Madrid, they're more than capable of beating them.
  5. What a climax to the season that would be, ManU being humiliated at Wembley.
  6. Never understood peoples' fixations with referees (obviously apart from Barry Knight = cunt, Uruah Rennie = Wanderers fan). We rarely get anything off 'em anyway.
  7. We should all embrace it. If for nothing else, for the first time in a long time we are being encouraged to fly the Union Jack without fear of being accused of racism or offending folk not from these shores.
  8. "Delighted for Sir Alex and his boys but honestly I haven't witnessed such awful Germans since I saw Scorpions play live in Prague in 1990". I'd love to know just who he is. The guy could/should be a professional comedian. I'm regularly in stitches reading his tweets. Also, strangely, his grammar is nigh on flawless too. None of this abbreviated nonsense.
  9. haha - said exactly the same thing to a work mate this morning. That was the worst semi-final performance I've seen since... well...
  10. Fulham looking poor, we'll be on a high after Sunday. Fulham 0-1 Bolton (Klasnic,85)
  11. yep, the Sun newspaper. Everyone knows it was their fault, right?
  12. "It was in the mid-1980s that St. Pauli's transition from a traditional club into a "Kult" club began. The club was also able to turn the location of its ground in the dock area part of town, near Hamburg's famous Reeperbahn ? centre of the city's night life and its red-light district ? to its advantage. An alternative fan scene emerged, built around left-leaning politics and the "event" and party atmosphere of the club's matches. Supporters adopted the skull and crossbones as their own unofficial emblem. St. Pauli became the first team in Germany to officially ban right-wing nationalist activities and displays in its stadium in an era when fascist-inspired football hooliganism threatened the game across Europe.[citation needed] In 1981, the team was averaging crowds of only 1,600 spectators: by the late 1990s they were frequently selling out their entire 20,000-capacity ground.[citation needed] In the early 1990s, the media in Germany started to work on the Kult-image of the club, focusing on the punk part of the fan-base in TV broadcasts of the matches. By this time, the media also started to establish nicknames like "Freibeuter der Liga" (buccaneers of the league) as well as das Freudenhaus der Liga ("Brothel of the League" but Freudenhaus also literally means "House of Fun")." ======================================================================================================= I'm moving to Germany to support St Pauli!!! Regarding this whole argument about Bolton being a town and not a city, it just doesn't wash with me. If all those glory-hunting pricks from our town supported their local club we'd have fantastic support. Same goes for all those pricks who think 'supporting' your team means watching it on a foreign satellite channel in a pub. They moan that they can't afford to go but will easily swill ?30 worth of beer watching it on the big screen.
  13. Whch boxing event is it though? I suppose if it were the day of the final bouts it might be okay, but would you really want to watch the opening bouts? Some kid from Botswana versus some kid from Fiji, neither of whom have ever worn boxing gloves?? Actually, that sounds alright...
  14. I recently bought a spare console (console only - no leads, etc) for ?30 off Ebay. Got it flashed at Console Wizard for ?30. With the copied games I can now download its already paid for itself. I just use my other (unflashed) console for Xbox Live.
  15. In Germany, the cost of football is reasonable and you can even stand up to watch the footie. Over here it costs a fortune and you have to sit down for 90 minutes. I wonder why they get bigger crowds over there... I watched a program a while ago about St Pauli. They look like a cracking little club. I think our very own Ivan Klasnic has links to them doesn't he?
  16. An ex girlfriend of mine got in touch out of the blue lately. She used to be super-fit so I was well chuffed. She asked how I was and if I fancied meeting up for a drink. Excited, I warned her that the six-pack had gone and that I was thinnning on top. She just laughed and told me not to be silly and that she'd put on a couple of pounds herself. I told her to fuck off and hung up.
  17. Do you honestly believe that Alison Moyet doesn't have a cock???
  18. Apart from Borussia Dortmund you mean?
  19. I can honestly say I don't give a shit. I used to like it when I was a kid and their were athletes and rivalries. Lewis v Johnson v Christie Coe v Cram v Ovett Decker v Budd Then there were the likes of Ed Moses and more lately Michael Johnson. The ONLY athlete I now know of is Usain Bolt. So, if any tickets for the 100m finals are going FOR FREE then I'd have em, but I wouldn't fork out any money for them. And I certainly wouldn't part with any of my hard earned cash (Hmm, he says as he types away whilst supposed to be working) to watch some dicks clay pigeon shooting.
  20. He got his cap because :- a.) He was playing very well ... but more to the point.. b.) Every other fucker was injured. Ultimately though, when he retires he'll have that cap to look back on and can be proud to have played as a striker for England. Not too many people can say that.
  21. Sorry to hear of your loss Big E. Sorry, what I meant was why would anyone choose to watch a stranger die? I can appreciate the whole 'closure' thing when it's someone close to you, but anyone actually opting to watch someone they have no affiliation with draw their last breath ... well... just strikes me as odd.
  22. ... or maybe she's just got an extremely frothy gash?
  23. Juliette Lewis (yep, the bird who's also an actress) is properly filthy I reckon.
