Evatt had 5 seasons ....SS has had a dozen or so competitive games to rid us of a lay down and die mentality, rid us of some dead wood, bring in a whole team of new players and try to get us playing a new, more in your face style of football. What we look like at the moment is a team that needs a bit more composure up front and a leader and organiser at the back. This with our new main front man injured and hopefully an influential defender suffering the same fate....and hopefully reinforcements to come. You need to give your head a wobble and give a manager with a more pragmatic outlook than his ppredecessor a bit of time .....alternatively stay away from sharp objects and your medicine cabinet.

I'm as confident as you can be.....he's grounded, intelligent and whilst emphasising team spirit and players enjoying coming into work you can see he won't be someone you would want to cross. The players rightly took stick for their attitude last season but when the manager seems to have more important things to do than turn in then it's difficult to expect any other outcome.

Thomasson at full back has me thinking about Scott Green, dropped back in there and whilst not the quickest certainty did a good job for us.....and like GT was combative and could deliver a decent ball.

But is he a season ticket holder?
