  1. Half the West Ham side, Cahill, Alonso, Al Habsi, Ricketts and Sordell have moved on to better teams
  2. And some enthusiasm from the owner about the football team he bought
  3. Appointed better managers. Unless you think it was a good idea to allow Owen Coyle to run up a £55 million wage bill which is what Davies and Gartside did.
  4. I agree with that but none of the others
  5. Good comedy The season Bolton finished 6th only 3 clubs in the Premier League had a lower wage bill. Newcastle's wage bill was twice as big as ours.Southampton were relegated with a higher wage bill than us.
  6. Julian Darby, Paul Comstive, Steve Thompson, Stuart Storer was the midfield 4 that lost the play off final to Tranmere.Thats worse than the one we have now imo.
  7. And it got Bolton into 6th place in the Premier League level on points with Liverpool and above mighty spenders Tottenham and Newcastle. And that was without a goal scorer!
  8. Nail on the head. There is no leadership from the boardroom and it needs to come from Davies because its him who sets the targets and decides when Freedman is sacked and who he is replaced with not Gartside.Gartside has the power to let Hughesy put his flag on the empty seats in the South Stand but not the major decisions needed to get the football club out of this depressing slump.
  9. Wuthering Heights as a debut single written and performed by a teenager is fantastically good.It is a work of genius imo.
  10. "We are getting the club on the right track and Dougie is the right man for the job." Gartside in his email in post 8
  11. PG gave Megson the vote of confidence in November, and then sacked him in December
  12. Only a gay snake wouldn't love a bounce on her falsies
  13. It's 80% Coyle and 20% the supporters' fault
  14. Blackburn, Chelsea and Man City have won the Premier League thanks to new owners giving them a load of cash. The owners weren't there to recoup money but spend it on their playthings. Then there are owners like the ones Man Utd have who have bought their clubs to make money. It would be nice for Bolton to have one of the former type and win some silverware
  15. I think that's Bolton but a bit later they weren't so keen when the opportunity was there. About 7.45 pm a mob of 100 Bury walked up that side of the road and stopped opposite the entrance to the pubs. They were on our manor giving it the big one outside our pub but sadly our mob offered as much attacking menace as Beckford and Wilkinson.Nothing happened and Bury were just escorted on to the ground.
  16. The lucky lucky b******d That first 95 minutes was so shit i was expecting him to be sacked tomorrow if Bury had survived the 6 minutes injury time. Twenty minutes from time, 0-1 at home to 4th Division Bury we have 11 men back defending a corner.A few minutes later they get another corner and Dougie gets sarcastic applause for sending a man forward. We look an even worse side than last season.Hopefully it was a one off because as Spider says the central midfield was an all time low and Hall put in a performance that suggests Sam was taking the pee out of Gartside offloading him to Bolton Both strikers Beckford and Wilkinson not good enough to impose themselves on Bury's 4th Division team. Postives - Chungy and Danns both proved themselves to be far better than Bury's players.
  17. Would have to assume he doesn't think the midfield is good enough to play 4-4-2. Spearing/Mark Davies as the central pair and Feeney/Lee or whoever as the wingers Is that good enough to get us challenging? Personally id rather play that way than 4-5-1 without a quality striker.
  18. He did last season and won 6 home games all season. Its going to be another shite season if he isn't sacked. No entertainment, few wins and stuck in the bottom half of the league.
  19. I saw these guys at the junction with Weston Street and today received an email from the Jewish News asking for donations for care packages for the Israeli army. They cost £15 each
  20. Swansea offered £5 million for Mark Davies and Gartside didn't take it...
  21. We don't know what we're doing
  22. Pike on Pike Martin talks about freshwater fish
  23. Does the non league season start before ours?
  24. Middle of the 2nd Division with about as much spending money as we have now.
  25. Seabiscuit

    Messi

He is the best player in the world, the suggestion he isn't as good as Schweinsteiger is quite funny. Just he isn't a footballing god like Maradona, who could win a World Cup with a team of average players around him.
