  1. I predict the 57 year old rapist will win.
  2. I think you can only measure this comparison on good days at both. When Burnden was good it was very good. The TS at its best isn't as good as Burnden. But that's not saying it can't be good because it can. Burnden was just as drab as the TS when it wasn't rocking.
  3. In a past life I use to delivered wicker coffins to Livesey's funerals in Horwich. Normally someone there would help me to get it off my vehicle and we would take it in through the front. Once they had no one to assist me so the lady asked if I could leave it in the 2nd room at the back of the premises. Wicker coffins are very light so I did. Went in the wrong door I saw the tenant for the box lying on a mortuary type table. Not nice.
  4. Basically evening matches are fucking faff. Out of town stadium, and if you are working it's only a couple of hours turnaround before you have to make a move to get there. Unlike Saturdays were the majority of us have most of the day to get there. If you throw in live TV coverage then it's not surprising folk give night matches a miss. I know it's only 15 mins but bringing the ko time forward to 1945 makes that slot for getting there even smaller. Bring back the 8pm ko for me.
  5. Maybe. Maybe most Bolton fans didn't even know the significance of the date.
  6. I don't want to go into a full out Scouse mode. God forbid. But flags at half-mast and fans putting some effort in would be nice. The first bite is with the eye and these individual outward expressions of remembrance are missing.
  7. Yes, well done Stoke. I'm disappointed that BWFC and the fans don't make a bigger thing out of this. Last year I went down and left flowers where the memorial book is located. Apart from mine there was an only one other bunch of flowers there. Nothing at the Nat statue. The flags at the front of stadium weren't even at half-mast. Shoddy on everybody's part.
  8. I expected Joshua to win and he did. I hope this puts an end to these circus's. Ngannou shouldn't even be in a ring at this level. This farce will put Joshua in a good position to fight the winner of the Fury/Usyk fight. That in itself is a joke. Joshua is a modern day version of Frank Bruno.
  9. I had no choice in the matter but I ended up working for FedEx after they merged with TNT and became the dominant partner. Let's just say the expectation levels they put upon their drivers were interesting. I'm not surprised the level of service has been effected. I'm no longer in that game. Thank God.
  10. Iredale, Thomason, Total even Bod giving it verbally to the Yorkshire knobs! Did anyone see Thomason right in the face of the Barnsley player when we got the pen? Iredale takes no shite from anyone. Some folk might moan about the style but this team doesn't give up. Feels like a win this. Fkin get it!!
  11. Here's me thinking that the majority of Brits went to Greece for the almost guaranteed certainty of baking temperatures and to lie on their beaches. I've not met many who are attracted there just for their history and snowboarding.
  12. No hassle for me. If I want to be surrounded by lobster coloured cretins then Greece is probably one of the places I would choose. Isolation and St Ds for me. 6hrs driving is nothing. I enjoy driving and is part of my holiday. Each to their own I spose.
  13. I've been every year, except for the great plague year of 2020, for the past 6 years. I cut across from Newtown to Aberystwyth and down the coast. Yes it is a long drive and probably the reason folk give Pembrokeshire a miss and go to Cornwall instead.
  14. I'm sure it is bigger but St Davids seems to be no bigger than Middlebrook. For me Pembrokeshire beats Cornwall and Devon for beaches and niceness. Less folk like me clogging up the place helps as well. Going again at the end of July - K2K
  15. Anyone been to St Davids? I have. Smallest city in Britain and a bloody treck to get too.
  16. I said mainly knee-jerk ramblings. Which it was. Most of it was comical. I get it that folk have opinions but the way some piped up you would have thought they owned a Cat 1 Uefa coaching badge. Knobs!
  17. Since the final whistle last night I've read some fantastic meltdowns on social media. Some really top class stuff. Basically Wigan got lucky with their "game plan". We didn't. On two occasions, when we were in goals scoring opportunities, we took one touch too many and that was that. Opportunity gone. That's the way it goes sometimes. It stings. The match could have easily gone our way. The Post Mortems I've read since last night are mainly hysterical knee-jerk ramblings. Makes you proud.
  18. 👍👍👍 Loftus Rd
  19. 👎 👎 👎 Birmingham hoolies love the road this ground is located on.
  20. Not Cov 👎 You must have missed it but one of my earlier clues was that this team still play at this ground.
  21. Not the Hawthorns. Although this ground has got road in its name, it is not on this road. Nothing cryptic in this clue.
