I wanted it to work out for Evatt I really did. He seemed like the right man at the right time. A good fit at a resurgent Bolton Wanderers. Something has changed on the pitch , maybe it is as a result of something happening off it,maybe it isn't. But it is clear for all to see that something needs to change. The club needs to act or I suspect atmosphere in the ground will change very quickly. If it does we will likely see numbers drop off, which will be a real shame as it is great to see the ground with so many fans in . I don't think Evatt can finish the job that he started so well. It is time for the chairman to make a big decision

Evatt needs to formulate a plan using the players at his disposal to get us out of this division. If he gets us out hopefully the budget will improve enough to allow him to recruit the players he needs to construct a team capable of playing his own brand of poundshop Pep football.

I feel that there is something fundamentally wrong with the mindset of the whole team. It looks like we have a well rehearsed game plan but as soon as something happens that deviates from it (usually the opposition not following the script) we are lost. It looks like an unhappy workplace out on the pitch. We can only guess what the dressing room and training ground are like but my guess is that the environment is far from cosy. I would have thought Evatt with all his modern methods would be all over Sports Psychology but it doesn't look like it.

My mum spent the last 36 hrs of her life (it felt like a lot longer) in Wigan and Leigh hospice. I have never experienced such kindness from human beings as I did during that time.

League games I can get over fairly easily. Even the Wigan results last season didn't linger long on my mind .There is usually another league game coming up to focus on. Play offs and cups not so much. Oxford ruined my Summer even fixture day was tainted. It was the manner of the defeat The cup final defeats against the dippers and Boro were hard but something in me said it was only the league cup. The fa cup semis I have seen left me proper low. Holdsworths miss I can't tell you how high I jumped when he hit it no way was that not going in ( cheers deano) .The Stoke debacle with all the build up before hand it felt like it was our time. But the players didn't get the memo. I just want us to get to an fa cup final in my lifetime.

Seen my uncle go with dementia.It was awful he suffered for years,he didn't know his wife or kids and even introduced his wife on a visit to his care home to his new girlfriend who was another resident. His wife passed before him and the staff brought him to the funeral.he was an empty shell. He sat emotionless throughout until they projected really old photos of his wedding etc. Tears then rolled down his face and he tried to speak. It was by far the saddest thing I have seen . That was the last time I saw him but he did another year He was a top bloke a real lad in his day which probably explains him copping off in the home. We all loved him. No way would he have wanted to go that way.Worked hard all his life .He was very sensible with money and had a decent pot and a nice house and it all went on care. Hardly anything left for the grandkids that he loved . The state is fucking ruthless. No way do I want my loved ones going through that. Not if I can help it anyway.
