  1. If yours is the 22nd best firm in the country is it based in Stalybridge and called the Service Crew?
  2. Because if Ken wouldn't pay Wheater his wages, Wheater wouldn't turn up at work some of the time.To be liked Wheater should have worked without being paid
  3. It's awful news and must be the most stabbings in a day in Manchester since some of the 12,000 Evertonians steamed into Man Utd after Frank Stapleton's last minute winner in the 1983 quarter final.
  4. Barnsley and Sunderland have both parted company with their managers today, the Barnsley statement was a short one... "Barnsley Football Club confirms that it has separated from Daniel Stendel with immediate effect. Adam Murray has been appointed caretaker manager."
  5. It's a sad night when Bolton are on the toes at home to Blackpool. It would never have happened when Bolton played in town, lads can't be arsed travelling over there on the offchance they turn up
  6. The word on the streets of Eccles
  7. City's owners have invested a billion quid, Man Utd have paid a billion quid in interest charges since the Glazers took over
  8. They say Salford's match v St Helens will see the best Man Utd firm in Old Trafford since the 90s.Pity it's St Helens and not Leeds
  9. Rashford who is Man Utd's best attacking player accused by Redknapp of going hiding. When stuff like that happens it won't be long before the manager goes.Daft as it may sound Big Sam will be high up on the list of contenders, although as i said a couple of weeks ago Man Utd's front 6 isn't as good as the front 6 Sam left Bolton with.Man Utd can't be a force till they get new owners but the owners make great money out of Man Utd so aren't in a rush to sell. The short term future isn't bright for Man Utd
  10. for a late winner against the Bavarian Slices send on Iced Bunnar Solskjaer..
  11. They don't spend enough money to play nice football in the PL. The 100 mill they spent in the summer only buys one top player.Reality check needed. The result of the day was Millwall beating Leeds, hope they gave them some treatment as well
  12. Manchester isn't best at everything.I think Liverpool city centre has been regenerated better.Manchester has basically just got a load of new residential flats being bought by foreigners and southerners and some mini Sainsburys and new eating places to feed them.Liverpool has an outstanding waterfront regeneration. And I admire the close knit Scouse community spirit, they are far better at organising and sticking to a protest. For example they got Michael Shields out of prison by pestering Jack Straw to such an extent that after repeatedly denying him a pardon because he was guilty as sin, Mr Straw just gave in for a quiet life.
  13. There are smaller queues at Isles of Scilly airport than Heathrow, can't think why
  14. Hayes is an unfortunate surname for an author of a book about BWFC since Dean Hayes who wrote a few books about the club was jailed for child sex offences. From the obituary provided by Sluffy it seems the surname is just a coincidence and Dean isn't a relative. Anyway back to the shares/year end accounts etc..
  15. A different last minute equaliser....2002/03
  16. You are probably right, Man Utd had a top firm at that time.Nothing happened in 95/96 at Man Utd because away fans were excluded and of course '96 at Bolton was hairy for Man Utd to say the least. In response to what happened on Black Sunday, Man Utd sent everything they could muster to the Reebok for the next match, i'd say a good 400- 500 strong Man Utd firm marched down Chorley New Road from Horwich and did a right at the Beehive towards the ground.Bolton didn't have the numbers to take that on but there was smaller scale scrapping around the Horwich pubs for a few hours after the match. The Bob Taylor match was later that season. The last meeting before the Fa Cup tie was for a league match in 1980 when they swamped Burnden Park at Easter with over half the crowd. They were challenging for the title and won every match from then till the final day at....Elland Road. cue 20,000 Man Utd fans in a 42,000 gate at Leeds. That was a horrible day for Leeds with mobs of Man Utd singing and scrapping with them in their Kop, Leeds won the match and Liverpool the title mind.
  17. I think Bob Taylor day was the day Man Utd had 300 lads in 2 pubs near Salford Crescent because Bolton had advised they would be landing there. In the event Bolton didn't show.Miami can probably confirm

I think Man Utd debt is roughly £300 million compared to an annual turnover of roughly £600 million, our ratio under Eddie/Ken was much shitter and worrying than that
  19. I reckon if the BWSA had asked the Bolton News to mention the event in the paper they would have done for free. Blaming Marc Iles for a poor attendance at a BWSA event is being obsessive to be honest
  20. And bad news for the Irish, that's one of their first choice defenders out of the qualifying campaign
  21. Paul Pogba = the rich man's Fabrice Muamba
  22. These are press photos not videos but i think some will appreciate. Bolton v Chelsea May 1983 see Chelsea's mob in the Burnden Stand seats in a couple of them https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/photos/bolton-chelsea-1983?family=editorial&phrase=bolton chelsea 1983&sort=best#license
  23. Eddie Davies didn't spend any of his money in the transfer market the last time we were promoted to the Premier League After the play off defeat at Ipswich the club sold Claus Jensen for £4 million, Eidur Gudjohnsen for £4 million and Mark Fish for £700k. The major incomings that summer were Per Frandsen and Michael Ricketts for £2 million combined. Ken didn't make as much profit in the transfer market the season he sold Madine It was a top manager rather than a sugar daddy that got BWFC into the Premier League during Eddie Davies' time.FV just need to find the next Rioch and Allardyce
  24. For all the money spent, the current state of Man Utd is they don't have one attacking midfielder or striker who would get in City or Liverpool's team. The best one is probably Rashford but he isn't an outstanding player. At any point in Fergie's last 15 years Rashford would have been a squad player for a few seasons before getting a move to Everton, Newcastle or Villa.
  25. I think Sam left us with a better front 6 than Manchester United had out today. They are four £75 million players behind Liverpool and City and despite getting 20,000 more fans every home game don't have owners who will spend the money.
