I'll give it 3 games of Erhahon and Simons together in midfield before you're all moaning about it. Erhahon seems to have become some mythical beast who goes round twatting everyone and winning possession back all over the pitch. So for context, FOTMOB do player stats (you know, the stuff they actually do). Here's a comparison of Sheehan and Erhahon per 90 minutes over the last 365 days (comparison with players in similar positions in the same league, higher the% the better). They're both good players with different attributes, but we're not suddenly impenetrable because we've replaced Sheehan with Erhahon.

Away to a well organised side that had won 4 of their last 5 and with a good home record. Put in our worst performance of the season, but still looked the likely winners - and had the better chances - until they scored. Despite being below our best, we could have been 2 or 3 up by that stage. Matches often turn on moments. Burstow's miss gave them a boost, and the rest of the first half was more even after we'd started on top. Came out lively for the second half and were on top again, then concede a really poor goal. Bloke who crossed it had acres of space, not great defending at the back stick and still looked save-able. Went frantic for a couple of minutes when we really needed to get control, daft penalty and it's game over. Once again missed good chances plus a couple of really good saves from their keeper, but one of our biggest misses was ACD not playing Forss in when he blazed one over the bar. Shit happens, all teams have frustrating days like this. But there's plenty there to suggest this season could be a belter imo. Last thing - I understand the frustration and folk's need to vent, but fuck me this place is a difficult read after a loss.
