He was probably pick of the crop first half v Orlando Pirates. Not much in 2 years, but I think there's a bit of talent there. Also think SS is giving him a last chance to see if he can actually bring it out of him. One of them where if he goes I won't be arsed, but if he stays I'll be optimistic we might finally get a run out of him. And more importantly, we need an actual transfer to stop me posting shite.

We were 'weak' last year because of how we were set up. Too slow and ponderous to break teams down but wide open on the break. We'll be a totally different beast this year. I know it's only pre-season and we're still short in a few positions, but already seeing really positive signs for me. I think we're on for a belter this season.

But none of it matters now - he's gone. We can all move on with fresh optimism 😃

Interesting how we all interpret things differently. I took it as her pretty much defending Evatt and blaming others - the football department - for his failings. Also a bit uncomfortable on the club video when asked about the new manager coming in she gushed about how lucky we'd been to have had Evatt and now to have Harkin, but said next to nothing about SS. She doesn't say anywhere in either the club piece or BN interview that in hindsight Evatt should have gone after Wembley.
